CHAPTER FOUR

Eric

If I was one hundred percent honest with myself, I felt sorry for the woman. She didn't ask to be picked up by the wrong company, and I understood how afraid she was. For all she knew, we were worse than the driver, and my reassurance hadn't helped the case any. Much to my surprise, throughout the rest of the trip back to the compound, she remained perfectly silent and watched the world pass beyond the windows.

She was beautiful with her long brown hair and deep brown eyes. If I didn't know any better, she was a Little and would be looking for a Daddy once all this was over. No Daddy in their right mind would allow her to travel by herself from Texas to Colorado.

While I hadn't been told why she had made the trip, I decided that it wasn't my place to ask at this point. For all I knew, she was just visiting her friend, but I secretly hoped that she would stay in the area. She was kind and polite enough, and my inner Daddy begged to make her his. After what felt like an eternity, we finally arrived at the compound, and I helped her out of the vehicle.

The compound had fully come to life by this time of day, and club members were moving around between the buildings, going about their daily business without paying any attention to us. As she looked around the compound, I watched her expression to see if she was afraid of us. However, her face betrayed no emotions as Russell nodded toward the main house.

"Chase said that he'll be in the office," he said. "If you want to finish up with her, I need to go check on a few things." Realizing that he meant that he was going to go see Rebecca, I sighed and shook my head.

"I got it covered," I said. "Say hi to Rebecca for me." Russell started off towards the house, and I turned to face Beth. "Follow me please." She nodded, and I turned toward the shop, where Chase's office was.

As we walked, a few people turned to look at us, and I noticed they were giving us some strange looks. Ignoring them, I continued toward the shop, listening closely to the soft footsteps of the woman behind me. When we arrived, I knocked three times on the office door.

"There you are!" Chase said as he held the door open for us. Smiling at the woman, he continued. "Please, come and make yourself at home." I turned to look at her and saw how pale she had gotten as she did as she was told. Once inside, Chase closed the door and motioned toward one of the chairs across from his desk "Please take a seat."

Beth did exactly as she was told, and I followed them into the office. As the club’s enforcer, it was my job to seeevery job through to the end until Chase said otherwise. As soon as he closed the door and sat down at his desk, he smiled at the woman.

"So, I'm sure you have a lot of questions," he said. She nodded as she looked from him to me and back.

"I suppose my first question is who you are and where I am," she said, her voice soft and indecisive.

"My name is Chase, and I'm the leader of this compound," he said. "We are a motorcycle club that likes to look out for those we care about, and Amanda asked us to help you." The woman looked skeptical as she watched Chase.

"And how exactly do you know Amanda?" she asked, sounding more curious than skeptical. After considering his response, he took a deep breath.

"Amanda is my friend's sister," he said. "After Amanda told Megan what was going on, Megan begged us to help you and Amanda."

Nathan had mentioned a couple times that Megan had a sister who still lived in the city, but she never associated with us. Chase let her be, but he did tell her that, if she ever got into trouble, she could always come to us. Now, she had taken us up on our offer, all for the sake of her friend.

"Anyway, I already did some investigating into the taxi driver that kidnapped you,” Chase continued. ”As much as I hate to say it, he was part of a human trafficking ring." Rather than getting scared or upset, she simply nodded.

"I see," she said as she looked up at him, and Chase sighed.

" I have a few questions for you," he said.
