HAVEN
Turning, I leap, aiming for the door, my exit, and the only freedom from this craziness. Cy is faster and snags me around the waist mid-air, and I shriek as I fall backward onto the bed like I’ve been clotheslined.
Despite my best efforts, I drop the towel, throwing my arms out to the side to brace for impact. And because the universe has decided to turn my life into a sick joke, the towel lies open, uselessly under my ass. I’m completely naked with Cy once more between my legs, leering at me.
“Hello? Haven? Hello? Are you okay?”
I can hear Charles’s voice, but it’s more like the buzz of an annoying fly off in the distance.
Cy traps me, pressing his weight down between my thighs. Everything inside me lights up like a fucking Christmas tree.
I definitely need my head examined.
“Cyrus, so help me God…get off of me.”
My hand connects with his cheek, and the sting brings me a tiny bit of satisfaction. But it has all the effect of booping a raging bull on the nose.
“Not a fucking chance,” he growls, grabbing my wrists and pinning them over my head.
I thrash violently under him, angry that I’m not only in this humiliating position but worse…my body wants him. He is genuinely toxic, and one drip at a time for years, he’s been poisoning me until it doesn’t matter that I hate him…I still want him. I hate myself for letting it happen, for not finding the antidote.
“Keep it up, Butterfly, you’re making me so fucking hard.”
If looks could kill, he would already be dead.
“I swear I’ll bite you.”
Cy’s eyes darken with desire.
“Do you promise?”
I buck up under him and yank on my hands.
“Fuck you.”
“Haven? Do you need me to call the police?” Charles yells.
I smile, not even caring if Cyrus spends the night in jail right now. But I swear the bastard can read my thoughts, because he keeps my arms pinned to the bed with one hand, while covering my mouth with the other. I twist my hips, trying to gain some leverage.
“So naughty…” Cy coos softly, making my stomach clench tight. I nip at his hand, but I can’t get a hold of him. “Careful, Butterfly, you’re going to make me come if you keep rubbing against me like that.”
I freeze, panting hard and he smiles.
“I hate you.” My voice is muffled by his hand.
“Act like you hate me all you want, Haven,” he says low and sultry. “But you let me ravage you in that kitchen…and I’m about to make you remember exactly why you did.”
My breath is shaky as he rubs his cock against me. It’s like fighting an undertow that keeps pulling me below the surface and dragging me further from safety.
I’m burning with equal parts desire and humiliation. It’s a combination that he got me addicted to years ago.
“Haven? Are you still there?”
Charles’s irritating voice helps to keep me from falling over the edge.
“Oh, she’s here,” Cy says, loudly with a dark edge. “She’s just busy right now.”
“What the hell does that mean?”
