“Fucking hell.” I shivered and gripped her hips harder. “Take off your top,” I ordered. The raging desire to feel her skin against mine and make her scream my name as she came surpassed any craving I’d ever had before. Not even my fires could fill the hole of longing that Beck created and filled with a single touch.

She pulled off her t-shirt, and I sucked a nipple into my mouth and growled as she moaned and ran her fingers through my hair.

“Oh God, Derek, yes,” she panted as I flicked my tongue over the hardened peak. Beck pulled my hair, and I could feel her pussy gripping my cock, scattering the last of my sanity.

I thrust up into her hard, and Beck yelled my name. “Ride me,” I growled. “Ride me and come on me. I need to feel you break apart.”

“That won’t take long, I’m already so close.” Beck bounced on my cock, her moans turning into whimpers, and I let her pick the pace.

“Good, come for me, Cookie,” I growled, and she yelled my name. That was my new favorite sound. Beck screaming my name as she came had me pounding up into her as she rode out the orgasm. Her whole body shuddered and twitched. The look of pleasure on her face was all I needed to put me over the edge, and I held her ass as I picked up the pace.

“Oh fuck!” I yelled as I came. Wrapping Beck in my arms, I listened to our breathing slowly return to normal. I was far from done, though, and she’d just released the beast. Cupping her face, I kissed her until we needed to come up for air. “You were made for me, I’m sure of it,” I said. Beck smiled, a glazed passion swimming in her stormy grey eyes. “Now get in the back. I’m not done with you,” I ordered, my lip curling up as her mouth fell open.

I snuggled closer to Derek and listened to his heart beating and the whoosh of the waves lapping at the shore. Both were equally calming and lulling me to sleep.

“You gave me a first,” I said, and Derek’s hand rubbed up and down my arm.

“Oh yeah? What is that?”

“I have never spent the night staring at the stars from the bed of a truck,” I said, even though the stars were long gone with the first warm glow of the sunrise in the distance.

“Is that your only first?”

I laughed. “You sound disappointed. Were you hoping that this was the first time I’d slept in the bed of a truck or been so thoroughly satisfied?”

“I wouldn’t be opposed to those. I hate the thought of anyone ever touching you. I apparently have a possessive side I didn’t know about,” Derek said, and I lifted my head to see his face. The smirk pulling at the corner of his mouth gave him a devilish appearance.

“Well, both of those would also be true, but I was trying not to give you too big of a head,” I teased.

My hand rested on his bare chest, and I tried not to let on how angry the scars under my fingers made me. The tattoos hid them well, but I understood the pain he went through. The physical was bad enough and would’ve been horrific, but the emotional and mental scars ran just as deep, and even though I’d only caught glimpses of them, I knew they were there and how deep they ran.

“That’s fair. I can be unbearably conceited,” he joked. He looked at me, and I pushed myself up so that I could kiss his lips. His hand cupped my cheek, his thumb gently rubbing back and forth.

“Do you know what time it is,” I asked, and Derek dug around in the pile of clothes for his phone.

“Almost six-thirty.”

“I should call Vi. I kinda got distracted last night,” I said, but the smile fell from Derek’s face. “Hey, what’s wrong? You said you’d have dinner with them.”

Derek slowly sat up and leaned against the truck’s cab. “I’m worried that this bubble, this safety we are hiding in right now, is going to burst. You’ll hear Violet’s voice, and she’s going to tell you that you shouldn’t be anywhere near me, and you’ll change your mind.”

“That’s not going to happen.”

“How can you be so sure? I’ve heard Violet, and she can be very convincing. I mean, you were thinking of moving in with her.”

Narrowing my gaze, I contemplated what he had said. “How did you know that?”

“I told you I was watching your every move. I might have also bugged you.” He rubbed the back of his neck, and I tried to look pissed off as he tossed more red flags up into the air. The problem was that I liked them—all of them.

“I see. Well, I might have said I’d think about it to get her to stop harassing me, but I had no intention of actually moving in for more than a weekend. I love Vi, but living with her and Asher sounded like pure torture.”

Derek laughed, and the deep rumbling made me shiver. I snuggled into his shirt and hugged my knees. It was safer than jumping him. I’d successfully made myself sore all over again. His stamina needed to be in a damn world record book.

“I can only imagine your horror.”

“Tell me about it. I thought Vi was going to turn into the crazy cat lady, but as it turned out, I was heading down that path instead.”
