Cal’s jaw was twitching, and I knew he was still freaking out, but stepped aside and grabbed a bin. I marched away from the guys, but everything inside me was screaming. I felt like the walls of the house were closing in on me, and I almost didn’t care about the snow or freezing to death.
“Hey, you good?” I jumped as Tyler gripped my shoulder. “Is this knucklehead giving you a hard time again?” He nodded in Cal’s direction as he dropped a tote onto the floor by the fireplace. “You know it’s cause he still loves you, right?”
Cal’s eyes were murderous as he stared at Tyler.
“Good for him. I’m busy with other things on my mind. Would you like to help decorate,” I asked, opening a bin and pulling out the lights.
“Um….” Tyler started as I dropped the lights into his arms.
“If everyone is going to be up this damn early bugging me, then you might as well help. Start untangling the lights,” I said, smirking at Tyler. He could’ve played the role of an annoyed child on Christmas morning with the pout on his face. I did miss hanging out with him. Like Cal, he’d made it to the NHL and was now playing in Colorado, so I hadn’t seen him in a couple of years other than on television.
“You’re still bossy,” he said as I walked away to get more bins. It didn’t shock me that Alex had scurried off to somewhere else in the house. He was a rat and I could only hope he decided to stay in a dark hole and didn’t show his face again.
Cal and I passed each other in the hall, and I could feel his eyes on me, but I didn’t bother to look at him. He could hate me all he wanted. I knew the truth, and that was what mattered.

CALLUM
Flannel pants and a tank top shouldn’t be sexy. It shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same sentence, and yet here I was, watching Skye bend over to pull out ornaments, and I couldn’t tear my eyes away from the material pulled tight over her ass.
The rest of the guys slowly roused once Skye started blaring Christmas carols. They were each in different stages of coffee consumption or half asleep on the couches. I really fucking hated how easily she talked to Tyler and Cale. Even Nathan had gotten in the holiday spirit, and it was like the four of them had become fucking carolers, one-upping each other for how terrible they could sing. My head officially hurt, yet I couldn’t bring myself to shut off the music.
Skye laughed as Tyler wrapped himself up in the long tinsel ropes and fell over the arm of the chair into Austin’s lap.
“Oh, I know what we’re missing,” Skye exclaimed and darted out of the room. I was on my feet going after her before I could put another thought together. It was like following the scurrying of a giant mouse. I heard rustling in the second storage room and poked my head in the door to see her trying to drag the artificial tree boxes out. My mum had always loved multiple of them throughout the house.
Walking in behind her, she jumped up straight as the door closed. Skye’s eyes were wide as she held her hand over her heart. I didn’t remember her spooking so easily.
I bent over and pulled the trees out for her.
“Thanks,” she said, dusting off her hands. “But I could’ve done it.”
I opened my mouth to say something sarcastic, but instead, I cupped her face and dropped my lips to hers. Spinning her around, I pushed her up against the wall and ravaged her mouth the way I’d wanted to the moment she walked through the door. Fuck she felt so good. Crazy desperation took control of my body, and I pulled up her tank and groaned at the feel of her warm skin under my hands.
Breaking the kiss, I nipped at the side of her neck as my thumbs hooked into the top of her flannel pants.
“Stop, stop, stop.” Skye pushed at my chest and turned her head away.
I didn’t want to let her go. I wanted to lay her over my lap and spank her ass and then fuck her hard until every living thing within a hundred kilometers heard her screaming my name. Bracing my hands on the door, I pushed myself back enough to stare into her bright green eyes.
Her fingers flexed on my chest, and I looked down at them. Skye dropped her hands like my skin had burnt her.
“What? Are you wishing I was someone else,” I asked, the anger returning in a mad rush.
Skye glared, but there were layers to the look. Anger, sadness, and something else I couldn’t figure out.
“If you truly believe that, then you never really knew me at all,” she said, ducking under my arm. “Can you move so I can open the door?”
“No, tell me what happened.” I crossed my arms and leaned against the door so she couldn’t run away.
“There is nothing to tell. You’re right, I screwed up, and here we are. Can I leave now?” She wasn’t saying something. I could see it, but she’d completely shut down, her eyes hard and arms crossed over her heaving chest.
Shaking my head, I ran my hand through my hair as frustration took over. “Fine, whatever, but don’t act like you’re fucking innocent if you won’t tell me what the fuck happened.”
Yanking the door open, I grabbed the long boxes and stomped out. Fuck, my cock was begging me to turn around and go back in the room. If I survived this weekend, I was seriously putting a hit out on my sister for doing this.
