“You have some on the corner of your mouth now. I’d lick it off, but…I’m not allowed to touch you,” Vi teased and licked the entire length of her ice cream cone while she stared at me.

Normally, I’d be annoyed at the brat-like outburst, but instead, I smiled back. She didn’t do the things she did to purposely brat, not in the traditional sense. No, she was genuinely a jokester under her tough exterior, but I wasn’t sure what to do with it. The fact that I didn’t know how to handle this situation perplexed me.

“What the hell, Asher,” the sound of Brit’s voice wiped the smile off my face as quickly as it wiped away my euphoric mood. “Why does she get to act like that? Why aren’t you putting her over your lap to spank her, huh?”

Vi stared over my shoulder, her face was shocked, but aside from that, it was unreadable.

Pushing myself to my feet, I turned to face Britnay. One of the most important rules of this kind of lifestyle was not to talk about it like this in public. Those in the kink community were private people, we kept our relationships, clubs and everything else quiet. Brit knew this well. It was one of the first things I had to make clear when we started our arrangement, yet here she was, coming at me in public about the lifestyle and doing so after our time had come to an end.

“Britnay, what do you think you’re doing?”

She had her phone out and was recording me, which was also a huge ‘no’ between us. “Oh, I just thought that I’d show all my viewers who the jerk was that ended our arrangement.”

She was never allowed to livestream us, and she certainly wasn’t allowed to livestream anything to do with the community as a whole. If she had been doing so, she did it without me knowing. I looked around confused. We weren’t anywhere near her place and it didn’t seem like she was here with anyone.

“How did you even find me?”

“I used Find My Phone, and it led me here to find you, but it looks like you’ve already moved on,” she said, glaring around my body at Vi.

“If you want me to speak to you, then you need to put your phone away,” I said, trying to keep my tone calm, even though it was becoming harder to do so by the second.

“No, I don’t think so. You don’t make the rules anymore. Isn’t that right? That’s how it works, isn’t it? Our arrangement is done, so I no longer have to listen to you,” she said, her tone snotty as hell.

Her voice was getting louder, and taking a chance that she’d follow me, I turned and marched away from the growing number of spectators. I could feel Vi’s eyes on us, and I wasn’t looking forward to explaining this.

“Where do you think you’re going,” Brit asked, but I continued walking at a brisk pace until we were near one of the lifeguard towers, away from the larger group of people.

Turning around, I faced Brit. “If you want to talk to me then we can talk, but not on your live and not if you simply plan on making a spectacle of yourself.” I waited to see what she was going to do, and finally, she clicked her phone off and put it in her pocket. “Okay, now what do you really want to say?”

“Asher, I didn’t want us to end. We agreed that you’d teach me and guide me through this world, and you just tossed me out the door after I told you I loved you. Doesn’t that count for something,” she whispered.

I crossed my arms and leaned against one of the wooden legs of the lifeguard house. “Britnay, what part of ‘don’t fall in love with me’ did you not understand? We had an arrangement, and it came to an end. It’s that simple.”

Brit stepped closer and placed her hands on my chest, but too many eyes were watching, so I couldn’t just remove them and force her to take a step back.

“Please reconsider, Asher. We had a lot of fun, and I learned my lesson. You forced me to see that I must do better if I want this life.”

She looked over her shoulder, and I could see Vi watching us. The look on her face made me feel uncomfortable in my gut.

Fuck.

“I’ll get down on my knees right now and suck you off in front of all these people if you want?”

I rolled my eyes. “No, Britnay, that’s not what I want.”

“Then name it. I’ll do anything.”

“Are you listening?”

She nodded furiously like a toddler excited over a toy. “I want you to go home. I want you to think about how right now you’re breaking every one of the communities’ major rules. Then I want you to ask yourself why I’d ever consider taking you back when you cannot muster the respect for me or for this lifestyle in the first place?”

She looked down, her bottom lip trembling as her hands dropped from my chest. “Asher, please.”

“Britnay, you don’t need me. You only think you’re in love with me, but you’re not. It is common for someone new to this lifestyle to think they are in love. And even if you were, I don’t feel the same way in return. For me, this was what it has always been and what we agreed on. Now I’m going to go back to my friend.” I stepped around her and stopped as she spoke again.

Britnay’s eyes narrowed.

“Is she your next victim,” she hissed under her breath.
