Well, yeah.

That was common when you were married and cheating like she was.

This was a hard place to be in for them. They loved Wynter, and now, they were finding that she hadn’t exactly been the person they thought she was.

This was a difficult place to be.

Leon kept talking.

“We were good with one visit a week. She’d come in, usually after telling the people she worked with she was grabbing lunch for everyone, so she could hide the appointment in her day.”

As soon as he said that, it registered to Hart.

Jesus.

Hart knew she did pick up lunch twice a week, and he did the other three days.

She’d insisted they split the task, and he’d never suspected anything.

“After one visit, she burst into tears, telling me that her husband was having a gay affair with a co-worker.”

Oh, boy.

“I consoled her, and one thing led to another.”

Bishop went there.

“When? You keep skipping over that part.”

Yeah, and they knew why.

“It was four months ago, roughly.”

And that was why.

This was a LONG-TERM affair, and not some slip-up. To keep that going, and no one to know, took one thing.

Sneakiness.

This was damn difficult since they all knew that Lucian and Ridge’s relationship in the static had been the catalyst, and while Wynter had a right to be upset, she could have just told the men.

This was…extreme in the way of payback.

“There is your answer. I’m not lying,” he admitted.

Hart nodded.

“He’s not.”

Well, this was exactly what Bishop had thought happened. Wynter had lied to her husband about being okay with it and chose this path. In the process, it caused her depression to stick around and could have made her a target of this because of it.

There was a solution the whole time.

Had she been honest, Ridge would have never carried on with it. He loved her so much and would have stopped if it meant her heart or that connection in the static.

Damn.

“She kissed me, and the rest is history,” he stated.
