Allie snapped her fingers in my face. “Hey, you good?”

“Yeah. But am I losing it? Is everyone watching me?”

Allie’s lips curled in. “Hmm. They’re probably looking at me. I wouldn’t worry about it.”

I was relieved when I saw Leigh come in from the back door that led down to the offices.

He walked over so I turned around on my stool. “Thank God. The vibe is off in here. Are you sure I can’t go back to the house? There’s guys there.”

He grinned, his hands behind his back.

I tried to look behind him but he moved. I put my beer on the bar and turned back around. “What the hell is wrong with you now? Seriously, I know I’ve got shit going on upstairs, but I’m not imagining this.”

“Whoa, whoa, whoa. I’m sorry. I’m not trying to make you paranoid. But I wanna ask you something.”

My eyes darted around, and now everyone was for sure watching me. But when Leigh held up the leather, I knew.

Tears filled my eyes and my hands went to my mouth.

“Glenda, in front of all my brothers, I’m asking if you’ll be my Old Lady?”

The cut already had a patch on it that said Property of Leigh.

I nodded, but Linny pushed me. “Hey, you yelled at me. Is that a yes or what?”

“Yes! Shit.” I swiped my cheeks with my hands then jumped from the stool into Leigh’s arms.

He lifted me off the ground and swung me around as everyone cheered, whistled, and clapped.

He put me down then held the vest up. The front had my name on it. I threaded my arms in and then grabbed it, looking down at my name.

My friends all huddled around me, and we swayed together as we all cried. Even Allie had a tear roll down her cheek.

Someone tapped my shoulder so I looked back and said, “Oh shit.”

Hammer looked at me sternly. “Don’t you be setting that on fire.”

“I would never,” I said, grinning.

He opened his arms, so I leaned in and he gave me a good bear hug. “Congrats, Glenda. You deserve it.”

“Thanks, Hammer. And I promise, I won’t set this one on fire. I won’t have to.”

He pulled away. “You damn right. I’ll take him out myself if he fucks this up.” He winked then walked away.

Leigh came closer and grabbed the leather, pulling me to him. “I also got this,” he said, handing me something.

Looking down, it was a small black box. “Holy shit.”

“What? The cut is more important to me. But I want to tie you to me however I can.”

Opening it, there was a ring with a platinum band and a solitaire round diamond.

“So, will you marry me?”

“Leigh,” I gasped. “Of course I will,” I said as I pulled him down for a kiss.

More cheers erupted around us.
