I assisted her in putting her dress back on. Since her panties were soaked, I stuffed them in my pockets. I pulled my bottoms up, fixed my clothes, and stepped out to let the driver know that we were ready.

Before he could fully get inside the car, Deja had already dozed off in the seat. I was just glad that I was able to calm her ass down and put her in better spirts. Hopefully, she’ll never repeat that bullshit again and feel like she didn’t deserve me. She had that part of our story all the way fucked up.

CHAPTER 20

DEJA MCCOY

“You and Lyric just go in the VIP lounge, give them niggas a little show, and I swear after that, you can go. Them niggas in there got money. It’s a bachelors party. The main dude is getting married tomorrow. His groomsmen specifically asked for you, and Lyric. Do that lil shit for me, and you can go home after that. Come on, Poison,” Blue damn near begged over the walkie talkie to me, as I was walking with security to the right of me.

It was damn near four in the morning. I haven’t worked these kind of hours since I was a rookie. Ever since I made a name for myself in the club, I had it in my contract that I didn’t want to be in the club past two in the morning. I did my years of being in the club until the sun came up. There used to be time when I wouldn’t walk out of this club until 7 in the morning. With the name that I had for myself, I felt like I was no longer obligated to put that kind of strain on my body. Blue knew it too, and that’s why he signed off on it last year. Plus, here I was, working on a Sunday.

I haven’t worked a Sunday in years. I only worked tonight because I felt bad for taking off yesterday to go to the Gala event with Wolf. Everyone knows that Saturday’s were the busiest night at the club, and I caused Blue to miss out on a lot of money last night, so to make up, this was me showing up on a Sunday.

“Where’s Lyric right now?” I asked him.

“She already standing outside the VIP entrance. She’s waiting on you,” he paged me back.

Blue didn’t even realize that he was telling on himself by calling Lyric by her real name. The second you start calling a stripper by her real name in here, nine times out of ten, that’s when everyone can assume that you might be fuckin them. See, with me and Blue, we were so close that he’ll call me Deja from time to time, but everyone knew that I wasn’t fuckin him, and that he was like a brother to me.

Him, and Lyric were going to get caught fuckin around, and if that shit got back to his wife, then Lyric deserved the ass beating that his wife was going to put on her.

“Alright. I’m headed there now,” I let him know.

“Thank you. Take them niggas money, and ya’ll can go home,” he said, and I passed the walkie talkie back to the security.

Before I knew it, I was on the 3rd level of the club. The 3rd level of Club Playground is where the money was at. See, downstairs, you didn’t have to have money. Just pay your tab to get in, and you were good to sit and vibe with the rest of the general club. 3rd level though? Oh, your money had to be long. Any time a man came into this club, and they booked to come up to the 3rd level, that only meant they had money, and they were ready to spend that shit.

All the private rooms were up here. You had to specifically pick who you wanted to dance for you, and that’s why Blue told me that the men solely asked for me, and Lyric. We got paid for our time to come up here and dance. The men could get a private dance and show for 30 minutes. I’ve made some of my best money coming up here to the 3rd floor. I’ve been tried a time or two as well. When niggas got us up here to the 3rd level, they thought that they were going to fuck, which is why security came up here with us, and would stand by the door, so none of that funny shit could go on inside one of the private rooms.

“Ooh, look at you. You don’t even look right being here at this time of the morning,” Lyric said to me, once I approached her.

“Girl, tell me about it. Then, I told Wolf that I was going to be home by 2:30. I’m ready to get out of here, and lay up under my man,” I vented, and right after I said it, Lyric laughed.

“Oh, your man? Did I miss a chapter?” she asked me, and this time, it was my turn to laugh.

“Lyric, I let them bitches take Hitta. Let them fuck the skin off that dick. Not Wolf though. A bitch want him, she would have to drag me off that dick, and that wouldn’t even be enough,” I let her know, sounding delusional as hell, but it was the truth.

That man was breaking me down. I was falling for him by the day. It wasn’t just lust anymore. I felt like I was about to fall in love with him. I keep thinking about last night. The breakdown that I had in the black truck, and how he came, and got me together. How he was able to read me down, calling out my trauma, and explaining to me that I acted the way I did because of old shit between me, and my mom. He called all that out, while letting me know that he saw me. Kissed my tears away, and then put that dick on me, completely calming me down. Not to mention that we fucked raw for the first time last night. I was out of my mind about him, thinking about him all night at the club, ready to get back home to him.

“I know that’s right,” Lyric said, putting her hand out, so I could high five her.

After that, we briefly talked about what we were going to do once we made it inside, and then security opened the private door for us. Security allowed us to walk in first, and once we were in, he stepped in and posted up by the door. I turned my head, looking ahead of me. There were seven men sitting down on the couch. They looked like their ages ranged from late 40’s, till about early 50’s.

I could smell the money on them from the cologne that was lingering in the air. Those heavy, expensive wood scents that were floating through the air told me everything that I needed to know. I liked to look at the kind of time piece that a man wore. There were AP’s and Richard Millie’s on these men, and again, that spoke volumes. Pants were tailored, shoes were nice and expensive. All of these were good signs of a good spender.

“I hear we have someone that’s getting married tomorrow,” I seductively said it, as I made my way over to the men.

I wasn’t necessarily staring them in their eyes. My eyes weren’t on anyone, or anything in particular. I was disconnecting, which is what I had to learn how to do, especially when I came back into these private rooms.

“Yeahhhh,” the men shouted out, and clapped their hands.

“Who’s the lucky guy?” Lyric asked. All the men started cheering, pointing to the man that was sitting in the middle.

The music cut on, and while Lyric took the dude on the end, I went for the groom. I gave him my back, allowing him to enjoy that view first. I seductively bent down, giving him that award winning, money shot, and from there, they all went crazy, and started throwing money up in the air. He never saw it coming, when I slammed my ass in his lap. I gave him a lap dance, grinding in his lap, and after a few minutes, I allowed my head to hit his chest, and I turned to look at him.

The second my eyes landed on him, I screamed and jumped up from his lap.

“Deja, what the fuck!” Lyric screamed at me, stopping in her dance, so that she could look at me like I was fuckin crazy. Everyone was looking at me like I was crazy. Security even rushed over to see what the hell was going on.
