She’ll love what I’m about to teach her, though. Oh, yes, shewill.

Laura

My skin prickleswhen anticipation courses through my blood as I take the stairs up to Kristian’s flat two steps at a time. My hands shake so badly as I run to his shower and turn it on, I feel like a horny teenager. Quickly, I unzip my riding coat and try to make my fingers obey me, barely managing to suppress a frustrated groan when they slip on the buttons.

“Fecking stupid little buggers.”

Sighing, I leave the bathroom and bend down to remove my boots, but when I hear Kristian’s eager footsteps pounding up the stairs, my head snapsup.

The feral glint in his eyes makes my breathing speed up, and slowly, I straighten my back as he prowls towardsme.

“You trust me, right?” he rumbles. The sound sends a shiver down myback.

“Yes,” I whisper.

It’s not a lie, because I do. I trust him with everything that Iam.

“And you know I’ll never do anything to make you believe otherwise?”

“Of course.”

He stops in front of me, so close I have to crane my neck back as he towers before me. He bites his lower lip as his eyes rake down, over my half-open shirt, and back up again. Seeing him so worked up, his control slipping with each second that passes, sends a thrill through me like I’ve never felt before.

The hint of danger, barely concealed behind his desire, is intoxicating.

“Thank fuck, because I’m about to fuck you so hard, sweetheart. I’m in pure agony, barely holding on by a thread, but I need you to know…” He stops as I raise my hands and continue to unbutton my shirt. His eyes flash as he swallows, hard, and the gravelly tone of his voice when he speaks again makes my headspin.

“I love you, Laura.”

He does, I know it. I can see it. I feel it in every particle of my body andsoul.

“I love you, Kristian.”

“Good.”

He backs me up against the wall next to the bathroom, holding my eyes captive, and once my back hits it with a light bump, a low throbbing starts up in my core. Slowly, I peel off my shirt until it hangs loosely down my arms, stopping at my elbows. The sports bra I’m wearing is far from flattering, but the way Kristian is taking me in right now—with awe and lust—I might as well be covered in diamonds.

“I need you, baby,” I let out on a trembling sigh. “I need you to show me that even though you love me, you’re not afraid to bend me to your will—and I need to show you that although I was broken before by another man, I’m not afraid to surrender to you.” He groans and frames my face, but I soldier on, needing to let out all the words I’ve held back for solong.

“You healed me, Kristian. You stormed into my life and made me see you and your beautiful soul before I ever allowed you to seeme.”

“Stop talking.”

He bends down until our lips are only a hair’s breadth from each other, and I can feel the small puffs of air he breathes fanning acrossmine.

“I’m grateful,” I whisper, “because I never thought I would feel strong enough to take a chance on love again. But thenyou…”

“Stop,” he growls, his eyes burning with such intensity, I have to catch my breath.

I can’t stop. I have to finish therest.

“You pushed. You didn’t giveup.”

“If you weren’t in my arms right now, Laura, I’d still be pushing.”

It’s the perfect answer, but what makes it even more so is the fact that I believehim.
