“Fuck, yes, that’s so fucking good. “ The words tumble out of me. Pulling out and pushing back into her. Drawing out gasps and moans as I grip her hips and lose myself in her. I wish I could make her understand how I feel. This isn’t just physical. This feels like the birth of something. A connection. A joining. She walked in here and cracked me open. And now I am open and raw but if I’m connected to Ginny. Touching her. Gripping her. Moving inside of her. Then I am safe.

And it’s not enough. Not enough of a connection. I want to see her face. I want to kiss her and see her smile up at me as I push into her depths. But I can’t stop what I’m doing. It feels too damn good. To stop would be madness. The second we are done here I'm picking her up and taking her to my bed and doing this properly. I want to explore every inch of her body. I want to learn what makes her squeal with glee. Just the thought of it is exciting.

Our grunts and groans and gasps and heavy breathing fill the bathroom. It’s steamy in here. But not as hot as fucking this woman. Filling her. Stretching her. The way she hugs my cock tight. How she pushes against me. I reach between her legs to stroke across her hard little clit. Her whole body goes tight, drawing my cock deep into her. I feel her orgasm vibrate through her. A few hard, fast thrusts and I explode so hard I’m seeing stars.

Collapsing onto her I hug her tight. Holding onto this woman who has woken me up to the world. I don’t ever want to let her go. When I'm ready, I pick her up in my arms. Stepping carefully out of the shower, holding her close, skin to skin, I walk her to the bed. Watching as she stretches luxuriously on my bed.

“That was amazing.” She lets out a contented sigh.

“We’re not done yet, sweetheart.”

I can’t help but smile as she blinks up at me with confusion. My hand around her ankle, I pull her towards me. “We’ve discovered what makes me happy. But I think more exploration is needed for your paper. I think we should spend a good amount of time working out what makes you happy. Really, really, thoroughly happy.”

Chapter 8

Magnus

It’s dark outside. Day has turned into night. The rain still pouring down. But in my bed we are warm and cozy, Ginny is snuggled up to me, her naked body fits perfectly against mine. The soft, orange glow of the lamp gives an intimate feel. It could be just me and her in the whole world. That would be just fine with me. Ginny is amazing. She is adorable and sensual, making me laugh, making me ache for her. After several hours in bed I still feel like I could never get enough of her.

Even now, I can’t stop touching her, my fingers gently grazing up and down her arm, across her back, just enjoying touching her.

“Are you happy?” I ask softly.

I can feel her grin against my skin, her head resting on my chest.

She stretches before snuggling in closer. “Very happy.” She says with a contented sigh.

“Does this go into your thesis?” I want to know.

“I think this is covered under basic needs.”

Emotion has welled up in my throat. I’m a man of action. I’m not sure how to find the words I am searching for. The words that will get her to stay with me. To give me a chance. I don’t want to feel like a grumpy old man anymore. I want this feeling that only Ginny can give me. A lust for life. A dream of a future.

“What made you want to study happiness?” I genuinely want to know what brought her up here to the mountain. To me. But I also find myself curious about everything about her.

She looks up at me with a grin. “I thought you didn’t want to know anything about me. Isn’t that what you said?”

I pull her up my body for a kiss. “That was before. Now I need to know everything.” And it’s true. Not only do I want to know everything about her. But I like listening to her talk. I like the way her mouth moves when she says certain words. A mix of sexy and adorable that makes me feel like my heart is swelling up.

Laying there together, I listen as Ginny tells me about her life. How they moved around a lot when she was a kid. That there wasn’t much money but they were happy. How she has trouble settling on any one thing.

And I open up and tell her about my ex. About coming home to find my wife and my best friend in bed together. That it had been going on for months. About the betrayal and the pain I felt. How I shut down and closed out the world because I never wanted to feel that pain again.

“Pain is a part of life though. You can’t have the highs without the lows. You closed yourself off from the pain. But that closes your heart to loving again.”

“I know.” I whisper the words. But inside they are louder. More forceful. I know this to be true. I thought I could live without love. That those feelings were not worth the risk of being hurt. But laying here with Ginny in my arms, it feels different. I would go through all sorts of pain to not have this night end. To not have to let her go.

Even Ginny herself has said she finds it hard to settle in one place. She could get restless. She could get tired of life on the mountain and walk out and leave me. Unconsciously I hold her tighter to me. But would I give up this night with her?

No.

Would I rather not know how good this feels to be laying here with her. Sharing. Talking. Opening my heart.

No.

The walls I put up are crumbling and falling down. I know what I want now. I want a life of love and family and closeness. I want a partner. And I want it to be Ginny. She has woken me up after a long sleep. She is like food and water to a starving man. She has brought me back to life. Saved me.

All at once I want to tell her what I’m feeling. Show her how much I need her. I pull her up to me again. Kissing her deeply. With a hunger and a passion. She pulls away. Her hands on my chest.
