Enough.

Strolling outside in nothing but my gray sweats, I sit beside her, loving the way her face splits into one of her big genuine smiles as soon as she sees me.

“Hey you.” I nudge her with my shoulder, watching her bite her lip as her eyes drop to my bare chest.

“Aren’t you cold?”

No. Being around you sets my blood on fire.

“If I say yes, are you gonna come over here and warm me up?” I arch a brow with a grin, physically unable to resist flirting with her.

“Maaaaybe…”

Hell yeah.

“I’m freezing my balls off. Get over here.”

She doesn’t answer right away, just stares up at me, those big eyes sparkling.

But when I open my arms without a word, she unwraps herself and crawls toward me—fuck me, her tank top gapes and I catch sight of those pierced nipples I love to play with.

Well, shit, I hope she won’t mind sitting on a boner.

She curls up on my lap, wrapping us both in the comforter she stole from our bed now.

“Oh hiiiii.” She grinds her ass down on my cock, biting her lip with a tiny smile.

Well, that’s me busted.

“Hey yourself.” I kiss her on the nose, watching her eyes flutter closed. Her pull is so strong, I brush my lips to hers softly.

Immediately, she whimpers, turning to wrap her arms around my neck and hold me there, deepening the kiss. My palms burn with the need to touch her bare skin so I slide them under her tank, skimming her ribs, my thumb brushing the underside of her delicious tits.

We breathlessly break apart and turn to watch the last of the setting sun. She snuggles further into me and I tighten my arms around her, burying my nose in her sweet-smelling hair.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d get this lucky while we were here.

“Thank you, Swayze,” she sighs contentedly, turning back to press a kiss on the lion tattooed on my chest.

“It’s nothing.” My words come out gruff as I struggle to swallow past the emotion clogging my throat.

“No. It’s honestly everything. I’ve been a total bitch to you. I’m so sorry for how I acted that day at goat yoga, before this trip, the last year even. For treating you like you were the same as…” her words trail off as she shakes her head sadly. “After everything, you still showed up for me when you really didn’t have to. I’m not sure how I’ll ever be able to repay you.” She slides her hand through mine, linking our fingers.

“You’ve got nothing to be sorry about, Angel. And I don’t want repayment.”

I just want your heart.

Do I ask her now? She’s just been open and vulnerable with me. Maybe it’s time I do the same.

The sun’s setting, the moon already visible in the sky. We’re lit by the ethereal blue glow of the pool with nothing but stars in the inky dark above us.

With only the sound of the water lapping on the cliffs below, I could almost believe it’s just the two of us out here, all alone in our own little bubble. I don’t think I’ll get a more perfect moment to lay it all out there.

Just as I’m about to confess and hand her my heart on a platter, a noise shatters the silence.

She stiffens in my arms at the sound of voices.

“Let’s show that bitch what fucking a real woman sounds like.” Pete isn’t even trying to be remotely quiet, his words followed by a squeaky giggle.
