Helena thought for a few moments. “She needed… space I suppose is the word. I was the first woman she’d been with and, you know, my dynamic, also her first.”

Isabella knew about Helena’s dominant and sometimes submissive tendencies, and while she didn’t remotely share them nor Helena’s bisexuality she understood. Helena hadn’t told her the detail about Caitlin, but she’d told her enough that Isabella was familiar with their specific dynamic.

“That makes sense.” Isabella smiled. “The way she looks at you, Helena… don’t screw this one up.”

“I’m trying not to.”

“Good. Glad you didn’t turn down Miami?”

Helena laughed. “You give me good advice sometimes, I’ll admit.”

“Only sometimes?”

Just then Caitlin came back to the table and they switched back to English, folding Caitlin into the conversation, Isabella telling Caitlin excitedly about a cafe near the beach house that they had to try.

The moment the front door clicked shut they were all over each other, hours of pent-up desire, the torture of having to keep their hands off each other all night, all of it coming to a head in a passionate tangle of lips and tongues and hands and bodies.

They ended up on Helena’s couch, lit only by the city light through the window, pressed together and giggling like the newish lovers they were.

“Still equals?” Caitlin asked between kisses.

“Still equals.”

“Good.” Caitlin sat up and looked down at her in the semi-dark. “You want your surprise now?”

Helena stretched languidly and nodded. “You said something about making me feel exceedingly good too?”

Caitlin smiled as she stood. “Oh, I’m going to. Part of my body still needs to rest after last night, but fortunately for you my lips still work, and my tongue, and my hands and fingers.” She paused and grinned wickedly. “And my hips.”

“Your hips?”

“You’ll see. But first…” Caitlin reached behind herself and unzipped her dress. She paused for dramatic effect for a moment or two before letting it slip to the floor, and Helena couldn’t stop herself gasping at what she saw… Caitlin looked incredible. Matching bra, underwear, garter belt, suspenders, all red, all expensive looking and beautiful, all for her benefit.

“Caitlin…” Helena started to say, but then she ran out of words because the sight of Caitlin like that triggered something very deep and very, very carnal inside her. She wanted her viscerally, right now, like she’d rarely wanted anything.

“You like them?” Caitlin asked, pulling her hair back and tying it into a ponytail… a statement of intent if ever Helena had seen one.

“I love them. Are they new?”

Caitlin nodded. “I think I told you in Houston I have a thing for awesome underwear. It’s like it’s my secret weapon, if I feel awesome under my clothes it gives me more confidence.” She shrugged. “When I could finally walk this afternoon without a limp,” Caitlin smiled as she said it and Helena smiled back, “I went out shopping.”

“I could look at you all night.”

“You can… I’m going to keep these on, and here’s what is going to happen.” Caitlin knelt down between Helena’s legs, a hand resting on each thigh, thumbs gently stroking in small circles that seemed to short circuit something in Helena’s brain. “First, I am going to go down on you right here, right now. For as long as you want. Then, we’re going to go through to the bedroom, we’re going to take your clothes off, and I’m going to go down on you again, for as long as you want again. And then…” She smiled as her hands slipped up under Helena’s dress and reached for her underwear, touching her through the thin fabric, making Helena squirm in pleasure. “Then, I’m going to wear your strap on and I’m going to make love to you in whatever position you want, for as long as you want.”

Helena looked at Caitlin for a long few moments, punctuated only by a gasp as Caitlin’s thumb flicked her clitoris through her underwear. “What have I done to deserve this?”

Caitlin laughed. “Everything.”

And then, she lowered her head and pushed Helena’s underwear aside, and words stopped being relevant.

“I didn’t dare ask last night. Did I pass the best friend test?”
