“Seize every precious moment without delay, because no one knows what the future holds.” Those were words Mom spoke, and I know she’s right.
Sienna stops at the door, turning her head to the sky as some birds chirp loudly in the trees above.
My phone rings, and I drag my eyes away from the goddess before me and frown at the name on the screen.
It’s Ahren.
“Hey. What’s up?” I answer.
“Yeah, not much. Do you think you can meet me in Stratford-Upon-Avon? There’s something I discovered that I wanted to show you; bring Sienna.”
“Sure, when do you want to meet?”
“Does tonight at ten work?”
“Sure.”
The phone call ends, and I stare at my mobile.
What has Ahren discovered? Will it bring us closer to the answers we seek?
I fucking hope so.
This Pull
Sienna
Iknock lightly on Jayce’s bedroom door.
I’m ready to leave, as we’re meeting Ahren at ten. I don’t know what he’s found out, but he wanted both of us to come. I tug at the sleeves of my leather jacket; maybe I should have chosen something else to wear.
I’m in a black corset top, a leather jacket, fitted ripped jeans, and black boots with a small heel.
“Come in,” Jayce calls.
I take a slow breath, trying to calm the butterflies in my stomach. Ever since we completed the marking, it’s been so much more difficult to control how I feel. Every time I see him, I want to climb him, want to kiss every inch of him, want to suck his dick until he’s a mess and fucks me with raw- Sienna, stop!
My cheeks are now heated as I open the door and try to compose myself, although my thoughts are so filthy.
Opening the door doesn’t help. He’s clearly just showered; he’s shirtless, water trickling down every ridge and groove of his body. My stomach knots, and I swallow, my throat suddenly way too dry. He wipes his face with the towel around his shoulder.
“Won’t we be late?” I ask, my voice breathy.
He arches an eyebrow, looking infuriatingly sexy. “Why would we? I’m just grabbing a shirt, and we’re good to go.”
“Of course,” I reply, looking away. Because you don’t need to put any effort into looking perfect the moment you wake up or step out of the shower. In fact, it just makes you look even sexier.
“Your face is pretty expressive even if I can’t read your thoughts.”
I blink and turn, but luckily, he has his back to me now as he pulls on a white t-shirt and a black jacket.
He sits at the edge of his bed as he pulls on some socks before putting on his boots, and I just stand there watching him.
He’s easy on the eyes, but a real workout on the heart.
“I wanted to talk to you about something,” I begin, needing to change the topic, but it’s not a lie; I did want to talk to him about something.
“Hm.”
