“Are you ok?” I ask.
She nods. “Yeah, why?”
I shake my head. “For a moment there, you fucking worried me.”
“Don’t I always? I think it’s part of the package of loving someone,” she responds.
I smile faintly. She isn’t wrong. I press my forehead to hers and inhale softly.
“Command me; let’s see if it worked.”
I don’t want to, but it would be good to know if it worked.
I sigh. “Kiss me.”
She leans in when she pauses. “That was the command. Nope, didn’t feel anything,” she says lightly before she sits back, although her gaze flickers to my lips as if she didn’t just defy my command. As if she didn’t realise what a fucking weight was lifted for me.
“Thank the Goddess for that,” I murmur as I reach for her, taking hold of her chin.
My queen.
My fucking queen.
She’s safe, she’s here.
I lean in and kiss her because I don’t have the words for what that does to me.
When we part, I tilt my head. “You should go home for a couple of days, enjoy some time with them before you become one of us fully.”
Her eyes soften; she knows what I’m saying. Go spend a few more days as a member of the Black Storm Pack, because once she’s here, even if she can visit them, it won’t be the same.
“So you’re getting rid of me?” she asks, cocking a brow.
“If I could be selfish, I’d never let you go, but your family deserves that much. So go home until I come for you,” I murmur. Her heart races as those words hit her. “I’m telling you to go home and enjoy yourself. Once I bring you back, you’ll be wrapped up in me, our pack, and all the chaos of the Blood Moon Pack.”
“I like being wrapped up in you,” she says with a small pout, and I smirk.
My cock twitches, and I cock a brow. “Careful,” I warn huskily. “But really, is that all you took away from what I just said?”
“Kinda?” Then she shakes her head. “No, I understand. Then… how long until you come for me?”
Her eyes dip to my lips for a fleeting moment before she gazes into my eyes.
“Give me a day or so to discuss with Dad,” I say quietly, watching the teasing fade from her eyes. “We’ll set the date properly. We’ll speak to Dad, your dad, everyone who needs to be involved, and we move forward.”
“As Alpha and Luna.”
“Yeah.”
“And the Academy?” she asks, almost as if wondering if I’ve changed my mind.
“We already talked about that. If you want to go, you go. The Blood Moon Pack can wait for their Luna to finish what she needs to finish.”
Her expression softens in that way that always makes my chest feel too tight.
“You’re annoyingly perfect sometimes,” I murmur.
“Only sometimes?”
