And I let my walls down, allowing her to feel everything, just as I can feel hers.

How much I love her.

How badly I need her.

How fucking gone I am for her.

I kiss her again desperately, swallowing her moans as my control starts slipping more and more with every thrust. Her nails drag down my back, her body arching beneath mine when I hit deeper, and the broken sound she makes nearly sends me over the edge.

“Sienna…” I breathe against her lips, my voice rough and wrecked.

She whimpers softly at the sound of her name on my tongue, and Goddess, I swear that sound alone could ruin me.

I keep switching the pace, wanting to draw this out for as long as possible.

Pleasure builds hotter and hotter between us as I bury my face into her neck, kissing her skin feverishly whilst trying desperately to hold myself together long enough for her to fall apart first. My breathing grows heavier, every movement becoming harder to control as she tightens around me.

She rakes her fingers through my hair as she gasps, her entire body tensing. I bite down gently over her mark, making her gasp my name in a beautiful moan as she comes undone.

I soothe the sting with my tongue as I reach my own release, pumping my seed into her. We both lay there, breathless, covered in a layer of sweat, our hearts pounding.

“I fucking love you, Darling,” I murmur into her neck.

Her arms tighten around me. “And I love you,” she whispers.

We lay there, both of us breathing hard, and I pull out as I shift off her and lay beside her. “We’re going to work through our problems together going forward. I’m not going to let anything come between us – not again.”

“Deal,” she says, wrapping her arms around my waist. “I’m sorry for leaving you the last time…”

“Don’t apologise,” I murmur, slipping my arm under her head and moving her even closer to me.

“Here, in your arms, life feels so complete,” she murmurs sleepily.

I smile softly, kissing the top of her head. “Yeah, it does.”

And I don’t want anything to change this.

“Seems like you haven’t been sleeping well.”

“I couldn’t, not with you avoiding me,” she admits.

“Yeah, I couldn’t sleep well either… I guess tonight we’re both sleeping well.”

I’m not sure I will be able to, though, when she’s pressed against me like this.

“You’re lying, Alpha.” She giggles, sliding one hand down my waist.

“Sleep. Trust me, when sleep comes, it’ll be peaceful. Now get some rest, Darling.”

“Mmm.” She nods, falling silent, a small smile on her lips. “We’re going to be parents,” she whispers as she drifts off to sleep.

Yeah, we are, and no matter what the future holds, we’ll face it together.

And I will protect her and our pup.

I wake suddenly, every instinct inside me instantly on alert.

The room is still dark, moonlight spilling faintly through the curtains, but my wolf is already restless within my mind. For a second, I remain still, listening carefully as I search for the source of what woke me.
