Andi’s eyes are slightly glazed over as her gaze meets mine. Her lips are parted on a soft, breathy gasp that quickly turns into a moan when Everett’s teeth scrape against the delicate skin there.

“Wh—what’re you doing?” she stutters, her hands flying to his shoulders.

“Just a little friendly teasing,” Everett chuckles, his voice low, vibrating against her neck.

“I—I wouldn’t call this friendly. You—you do this to all your friends?”

Everett lets out a soft huff of laughter before he nips at her hard enough to make her yelp.

“Hey! What was that for!”

Everett uses his hold on her neck to make her look up at him.

“For being a brat.”

“Yeah, well then if I’m a brat, then you’re a dick.”

“What can I say? I enjoy watching you squirm,” Everett murmurs before leaning down and brushing his lips against her forehead again. “We’re going to take care of you, Honey.”

“I know,” she whispers, her eyes fluttering shut. She takes a second to bury her face in the crook of Everett’s neck, soaking in his hazelnut whiskey scent, thick in the air around us before she takes a step back.

I don’t think I realized just how pale she’s gotten, until now. It finally seems like she’s gaining some color back, though I’m sure a lot of it is thanks to that furious blush she’s wearing right now.

I’m sure the omega specialist we bring her to will prescribe lots of physical touch to help regulate her hormones. It’s good to see signs that it’s already working.

“Hey,” Andi says softly, her eyes twinkling as she steps up to Leo.

He extends his hand to her and laces her fingers with his.

“Hey, I—”

She doesn’t give him a chance to finish before she’s leaning up on the tips of her toes and pressing a soft kiss to his lips.

He lets out a soft sound of surprise before his free hand comes up to undo the tie in her hair, making the long dark locks cascade down her back.

Shit, they look hot too.

Maybe I’m just a voyeur because my body’s reaction to watching all of them together seems extreme.

“You have consumed my every waking thought,” he murmurs against her lips when the two of them finally break apart from their kiss. “Actually, no, that’s not completely truthful. You’ve consumed all of my unconscious thoughts as well.”

“You saying I’ve haunted your dreams?” she teases, blinking up at him.

“Yes,” Leo answers seriously, his hands reaching up to cup her face. “During the days there was nothing more for me to do to try to help get you back... I would just go to sleep early with the hopes of seeing you in my dreams.”

“That’s... wow, that’s the most romantic thing in the world.”

“That kinda stuff just comes naturally to him,” I tease, spinning around in my chair. “Maybe you should be the songwriter, Leo.”

“Give me writing credits if you use those lines in any of your songs.”

“Will do,” I say with a two-finger salute.

Andi pulls away slowly from Leo’s embrace to face Cameron. She clasps her hands nervously behind her back.

Honestly, both of them look a little nervous, like they’re not entirely sure what to do or say.

“I’m—I’m sorry that the conservatorship wasn’t dissolved today,” Cameron says, his jaw tight as he swallows hard before he puts in the effort to relax it. “But I’m glad that you’re away from your mother.”
