“But you did get taken down by a girl,” I say through gritted teeth. The entire right side of my abdomen hurts and I'm wondering how much damage he did to me while I was out.

“I'm going to make you pay for it! I'm going to make you wish you never said no to me!” He roars, jumping to his feet and sending his chair flying across the room. I wince at the loud crash as shockwaves move through my head, causing me to throw up from the pain.

I don’t know how I can get out of this situation by myself. I have no weapons. No way to defend myself. My head and abdomen hurt too much to move, let alone make a run for it. I'm hopeless.

Chopper will find you. He’ll burn the world to the ground to bring you back to him. He’ll stop at nothing until you’re safe.

The thought runs through my head and gives me a small amount of hope. I know Chopper will look for me, but how long will it be before he knows something is wrong? Will he even be able to find me or will he be searching for a needle in a haystack?

Chapter 26

Chopper

“There’s an old building on the edge of our property,” Kaleb begins. He’s around the same age as Porter and looks just as scary. He’s known as being a fierce president, but not anywhere near what Porter is.

“Do you really think he’s stupid enough to take her to club property?” Gunner’s gruff voice asks.

“He was stupid enough to take a Savage princess. I don’t think we should rule anything out,” Whiskey growls.

Whiskey, Gunner, and River are the three sons of Kaleb Dixon. They’re good guys and more than willing to help us flush out Wilson. Their only requirement is they want to be the ones to deal with their prospect.

I objected immediately, but after Porter pointed out that Roxy will need me now more than ever, and Kaleb promised Wilson would take his last breath before sunrise, I reluctantly agreed. Whiskey guaranteed he’d make it hurt and Gunner seemed more than on board with the idea.

They can’t let Wilson get away with something like kidnapping a woman from another club. Not only would that look bad on their part, but it would make it seem like they can’t control their prospects. That’s not something anyone wants. I'm sure the Dixon men don’t want to create waves between the Sinners and Savages either. We’ve dealt with each other peacefully over the past two decades and no one wants that to change.

As much as I want to be the one to kill Wilson myself, I'm almost happy they’re insisting on dealing with it alone. That way I can focus on my girl and nothing else. I won't need to take time away from her to handle him or clean up the mess I’ll make.

“I’m having one of my guys snoop around the building,” Kaleb says. “I told him to keep his distance, but to see if the van is outside. I don’t want him to blow his cover and let Wilson know he’s there. I don’t trust he won't make a rash decision that could end badly for Roxy.”

“What is this building used for?” Storm folds his arms across his chest and stares at Kaleb.

“It’s where we… take care of business,” Whiskey says slowly.

We all nod, knowing exactly what he isn’t saying. It’s the building they take people to when they need to teach them a lesson or get information out of them. Chances are, that building is filthy and smells awful. I'm sure dozens of peoples’ blood is sprayed across the floors and walls. It’s not a place I want Roxy to see, let alone be kept prisoner at.

“What’s your plan?” Porter asks.

I'm shocked he’s letting someone else take the lead, but I think he knows he needs help. He’s aware he could make a decision based on emotions and not logic. He wants to make sure he gets his daughter back safe and sound.

I'm right there with him. I want my girl back and I don’t really care what I need to do to make that happen. I need her in my arms. To be able to stare into those beautiful eyes and hear her say I love you again.

Kaleb tells us the plan and I’m hanging on his every word. Before he finishes, his phone rings and he quickly answers it, placing the call on speaker.

“What’d you find?”

“He’s here. There’s a white van outside of the building. I can’t see him or her, but I have no doubt he’s in there. He’d be too weak to carry her far if she’s unconscious and if she’s awake… Well, she’s Roxy Reeves. She’d be fighting him as hard as she could. We all know she could probably beat him up with her hands tied behind her back.”

“I want you to stay there. Keep an eye on the exits and let us know if anything changes. We’ll be there soon. We’re going in quietly. I want to surprise him.”

They continue talking, but I can’t pay attention. My mind is too focused on the idea of her being unconscious.

“We’ll get her back,” Storm whispers, placing a hand on my shoulder.

“But will we make it in time? Before he does something irreversible?” I squeeze my eyes shut, thinking about all of the things he could be doing. So many of them might not end her life, but it could change who my girl is. It could alter her entire life, making her not want to be my Roxy anymore. I finally have the love of my life and I don’t want to lose her.

“We’re doing our best. C’mon, let’s go.” He nods towards the exit where all of the Sinners and Savage Wolves members are leaving.

I follow him out, but my head is elsewhere. I'm sending up silent prayers that Roxy’s ok. That she’ll be safe until we can get there. I'm not sure I’ll be able to handle it if she’s hurt or worse.
