“You think I’m huge?” Roan smirks, bringing his face closer to mine. I scrunch my nose, realizing the double meaning behind my words. Without conscious thought, my gaze drops between us. “Don’t look at me like that, Saylor.” Roan’s rough voice cracks through the tension.
“Like what?” I glance back up, noting the hard set of his jaw.
“Like you’re hungry.” I don’t respond. I told him yesterday that whatever we become, it’ll be on his terms. But I don’t try to hide the way he affects me. Since the night Havok touched me, my body’s come alive. I’m done overthinking the way I feel. There’s been a thread of intimacy between us—even from the start—when they comforted me by simply holding my hand because I was afraid to fall asleep. We’ve got too much bad on our plates to not embrace the good.
Roan trails a finger down my arm, slow and tortuous, watching my face the entire time for any miniscule reaction. My lip’s part when he veers off course and drags it between my breasts. His body weight grows heavier on top of me as he wedges himself between my thighs. It’s almost too much, the width they have to stretch to accommodate him. Roan presses his thumb to my mouth, applying the slightest bit of pressure.
“Open,” he demands hoarsely. I comply, wrapping my lips around him as he rocks against me. I can feel every hard inch, and it’s a lot of inches. Our clothes leave little to the imagination. Satisfied, he slips from my mouth and shoves my sweatshirt up. Tugging my bra aside, he circles my nipple with the wet pad of his thumb. My groan is met with another perfectly timed thrust. Slow and hard, the pressure hits my clit deliciously, and I know it won’t take much for me to finish. “One day, it’s gonna be my cock in your mouth. I’ll paint these gorgeous tits with my come.” He grinds down again, drawing a whimper from me as my eyes roll to the back of my head.
“Need you so bad I can’t think straight,” Roan confesses, our lips close enough to touch.
“Please,” I beg. For what exactly, I’m not sure. He licks a path from my throat to my mouth. It’s hot and dirty, leaving me wetter than I was. I chase the feeling, meeting him thrust for thrust. The rough pinch of my nipples is enough to make me cry out.
“Fuck, yes. Let me hear you, Little Fighter.” I’m completely at his mercy when I come, trying to keep quiet but failing miserably. I moan his name, arching my back as I writhe beneath him. He doesn’t stop, and I’m past the point of sensitive when he finally pulls away. I pant, struggling to peel my eyes open. Roan stares back at me, transfixed on my mouth. Not giving myself a chance to chicken out, I lean up and press my lips to his. I don’t try to deepen the kiss, keenly aware he just made me orgasm without ever initiating one. Maybe it’s a different layer of intimacy for him.
I’ve barely pulled back when he dives in, parting my lips with his tongue as he forces his way in. Roan’s kiss is different. It’s invasive. Claiming. He steals my oxygen, making me scramble to gain the upper hand so I can break the hold he has on me. And even then, I’m desperate for more. We’re both breathing heavy when the door bangs open, quickly followed by Kash flopping down beside us.
He bounces off the mattress, turning to his side so he can prop himself up on his elbow and rest his face on his palm. I lay there like a statue, thinking there’s no way this is happening two days in a row. I doubt I can play it off, considering Kash knows exactly how I look when I’m flushed and sexually satisfied. And judging by the shit eating grin he’s sporting, he’s well aware of what we were up to.
“Cockblocker,” Roan curses, dropping his face to my neck.
“Turnabout’s fair play,” Kash chides. “And I need some Saylor snuggles. You hogged her all night and half the day. God, you singletons are greedy. I mean, look at you, sweetness. Your only-child syndrome snagged you five boyfriends. A literal handful!” Kash cackles, all too pleased with himself for his ill-timed joke.
“Seems like we’re sharing just fine to me,” Roan comments.
“Yeah, but you’re stingy. Now move, ogre.” Kash jabs him in the side, making Roan grunt and roll to his feet. He pulls me up just as Kash reaches out, ignoring the curses he slings. I’m led to the bathroom and handed a towel. Roan turns the shower on, then crowds me against the sink.
“Up,” he whispers, sliding his hands beneath my top. I lift them, letting him undress me. Next to go are my leggings, until all I’m left in are my bra and panties. His eyes heat, taking in every detail of my mostly naked body. He’s still hard, the outline of his cock vivid and unmistakable. I reach out, clueless as to what I’m doing, but wanting to make him feel good, too. Roan stops me and takes a step back.
“Not today.” He kisses the inside of my wrist. “If you touched me right now, we wouldn’t be leaving this room anytime soon,” he admits, dipping his hand between my legs. I choke on nothing but air as he traces the soaked center of my lacy boy-shorts. “That’s mine, baby girl. I did that.” I grip the counter as he brings his fingers to his mouth and licks away the evidence of my release. Jesus, what have I gotten myself into? I’ve gone from zero to sixty in the blink of an eye.
“Take your time. We’ll be in the main room when you’re done.” Roan kisses the top of my head on his way out. I stand there, feeling shaken from the inside out—in a good way—as steam starts to build and fog the mirror. I strip down the rest of the way and step beneath the hot stream. I don’t have any of my stuff in here, so I use Roan’s soap, making sure to keep my hair to the side since I just washed it yesterday. I wrap myself in a towel, belatedly remembering I have no clothes, either. Thankfully, someone left me a matching lounge set on the bed—complete with under garments.
My stomach growls as I head to the kitchen. I missed dinner, along with breakfast and lunch today, so it’s no surprise I’m starving. Kash snags me as I exit the hallway, twirling us in circles until he drops us both on a barstool. I slap my hands on the counter to make the room stop spinning, swearing retribution one day soon. Maybe I’ll find his stash of suckers and hide them.
“Here, Tink.” Krew slides a bowl of pasta in front of me. “Leftovers from dinner. Eat up.” Don’t have to tell me twice. I shove a forkful in my mouth, groaning at the perfectly seasoned alfredo sauce. It’s undignified how quickly I consume the entire helping. I contemplate licking the bowl clean, but I’m currently being watched like a zoo animal.
“Why was that so hot?” Kash mutters. I snort, shaking my head at him. A gust of wind would likely have the same effect. Roan elbows Krew, who’s staring at me intently.
“Right.” Krew clears his throat and leans back on the opposite counter. “We heard back from Denvers. Are you good to talk about this now?”
Meaning: am I going to lose the food I just ate? My stomach has been in knots since reading that damn postcard. Digesting my lunch isn’t going to change the sick feeling I get every time Liam delivers another taunt.
“Go ahead. I’ll be fine,” I answer, leaning back on Kash for support. His fingers twine with mine and give my hand a squeeze.
“Her name was Rina Movey. Twenty-three years old. She was in her last year of nursing school. The ME estimates she’s been deceased for six days. The coordinates led to another green space by a river in Tulsa.” I knew what they’d find, but stupidly, a part of me hoped that Liam had deviated once again. He’s never going to stop. Not until he has what he wants. I have little faith the FBI will find him first.
“Don’t take this on, Saylor. There’s nothing we can do at this point. If there was a way to draw him out without risking you, we’d do it in a heartbeat. But Liam’s crimes aren’t yours to bear. He chose to kill those women and I promise you he’ll pay for it.” Roan holds my gaze, delivering every word with conviction.
“I know. I just want this to be over. For the women who could unknowingly cross his path, but for me, too. I won’t be truly free until he’s no longer a threat. I can’t leave the house or run errands with you guys. I’m still a prisoner.” I can feel Kash’s flinch. “I love being here. Love being with the five of you, but I want to go to a movie or out to dinner. It’s not fair that he’s still dictating my life. He’s claimed enough of it.”
“I swear, Best Friend…when Liam is taken care of, we’ll go on a month-long vacation. Pick a place. Pick several, actually. Whatever you want, we’ll make it happen.” Kash places a kiss on my spine.
“Try not to dwell, Tink. I know it’s a big ask, but I’m combing CCTV footage every chance I get. If he’s within a hundred-mile radius, I’ll find him.” I smile at Krew, deciding it’s best not to inquire about how he has that sort of access.
“Let’s go watch the new Spider-Man movie downstairs. Ya know, the one with Peter Parker. Aka Spider-Man.” Kash nudges me, but I feign indifference, pretending I have no idea what he’s implying.
We shuffle down the steps and head towards media room. While Roan pulls the movie up, the rest of us fix ourselves a snack. Or in Kash’s case, several snacks. I claim a seat, pleasantly surprised when Krew snags the spot beside me. I smile and take a bite of the jerky stick he holds out for me. The movie sucks us in, making me laugh one minute and cry the next. I swear I hear a sniffle from Kash’s side of the aisle. When the credits finally roll, I stand and stretch, stealing the last bit of Krew’s drink. We clean up our mess, putting everything back the way we found it, and head upstairs.
