She put her palms flat against my bare chest. She drew her fingers down my sternum, following the brightest line, and the sound I made hit her and her fingers pressed harder.
“I can feel you,” she said. “Through the bond. I can feel what my hands are doing to you.”
“I know. I can feel you feeling it.”
“That’s...” She gave up on the sentence. Her fingers traced a line from my sternum across my ribs, following the light, and the sensation looped between us, building. Each pass amplified the last.
I lifted her. Her legs wrapped around my waist. I pressed her back against the cell wall.
The metal was cold against my hands but her body was warm and the bond was generating heat at every contact point, real, physical.
My mouth on her throat. The curve where her neck met her shoulder.
She arched against me and her pleasure rolled through me, chest to stomach to lower. I kissed down her collarbone. She pulled my head closer, her fingers in my hair, and made a sound that sent the doubled sensation spiraling.
“More,” she said. I heard it either way.
I pulled at her shirt. She helped, one arm at a time, unwrapping from around my neck long enough to pull it free. Skin against skin.
I kissed the hollow of her throat. Down. The swell of her breast.
She inhaled sharp. Her legs tightened around me. Her hips rolled against mine, and the feedback nearly took my knees out.
“Don’t you dare drop me,” she said.
“I’m not going to drop you.”
“Your knees just buckled.”
“That was your fault.”
She laughed. Short, breathless, and the laugh cut off when my mouth found her nipple and the doubled sensation hit both of us at once.
Her back arched off the wall. Her nails dug into my shoulders. I held her weight and let her pull me closer.
The light had spread everywhere she’d touched, and the cell wasn’t dark anymore.
Her hands dropped between us. My waistband. She pulled at the fastening.
I shifted my grip to give her room. Her fingers found me, and every nerve and pulse and breath seemed to answer twice.
Her hand on me. My face against her neck. A sound I’d never heard from my own mouth.
“Please.” The word came apart in her mouth. “Serak, please.”
I had my hand on the fastening of her pants. She was pulling at mine.
The bond was screaming for completion. Every part of my body was in complete agreement.
I wanted her with a desperation that had nothing to do with years of control and everything to do with the woman in my arms, the woman who had walked into enemy territory, who was now pulling at my clothes in a cell in deep void and saying please.
Jessa stopped.
Not me. Her. She put her hands on my face and held me still.
Her breath was ragged. Her eyes were bright. Her cheeks flushed.
She was trembling against me. I was trembling against her.
