Matis: I won’t be able to keep my hands off you.

Amelia: Good thing it’s a sex club then.

Matis: Amelia.

Matis: You know what I mean.

Amelia: We can rent a room…

Matis: And what do we tell the people who see us walking in it together?

Amelia: To mind their own business.

Matis: I wish it were that easy, Trouble.

Amelia: Fine. I’ll just go alone then.

I can practically feel him growling from here. With a smile, I bite my bottom lip and wait for his response.

Matis: I’ll see you in 30 minutes.

With a squeal, I run up to my room to grab my shoes, and I’m out the door in record time.

It’s still odd for me to go into the club as a member instead of an owner. Normally, I walk in and go straight upstairs to my office, and I try very hard to avoid the basement. Especially at night.

Like tonight.

I have no real business to attend to. No tasks or incoming shipments to check or emails to answer. It’s just me, a woman here to find pleasure, specifically for one man.

To my relief, it appears as if West has taken the night off. The women behind the bar are nice, but we’re not as close as me and West and they don’t know my business.

“What’ll you have?” the one with the vibrant red hair asks as she sets a small drink napkin on the bar in front of me.

“Um…how about a Lemon Drop?” I say without an ounce of confidence in that order.

“You sure?” she asks with a chuckle.

I nod. Normally I have Weston to make my drinks for me, and he’ll usually just hand me something sweet and not too strong, and I never really bother to ask what it is.

My fingers drum nervously on the obsidian bar top as I wait. I can’t help the pull of my attention to the dance floor on the other side of the room. It hovers in the corner of my vision like a blazing fire my eyes keep trying to flash toward.

Finally, I relent to my desires, and I turn toward the dance floor. Just like that first night I watched the group in the booth, I feel that subtle sense of power wash over me.

This is more than just watching. It’s partaking in something more powerful than just sex. It’s an exchange. It’s taking the time to savor what watching truly does.

My body heats. My core tightens. My spine lengthens and my breaths come out slower.

And just as I feel myself letting go, indulging in the slowly growing embers of desire brewing in my belly, I feel his presence behind me.

With his lips near my ear and his scent filling my nose, he whispers, “Hello, Trouble.”

Rule #28: Bartenders know all the good secrets.

Matis

Amelia takes on a whole new form when she’s aroused. She’s slow, still, deliberate. The normally bouncy, fidgety girl is replaced by someone who doesn’t mind slowing down to savor. She delicately balances her arousal like porcelain teacups on a platter.

Don’t move too fast. Don’t scare it away.
