Nadia
Was I really going to do this?
I looked over at Tex and couldn’t help but smile, because the alpha could barely fit in my dinky little car. He’d been forced to push the seat back so he could fit behind the wheel and still looked kinda hunched, but that just drew my attention to those massive, muscular thighs covered by dark blue pants and yet another pettable flannel shirt.
Yeah, I was.
I said I needed to get better at asking for what I wanted. To have enjoyable sex, not just endure it. A pulse started, deep in my pelvis, forcing me to straighten in my seat. Arching my back a little didn’t ease the ache inside me, but it did get Tex’s attention.
“Everything alright, Nadia?” His deep voice, that concerned look, for some reason that got to me far more than all the sex talk in the pub. His brows creased slightly. “Because if you’ve changed your mind, I can take you home.”
A heavy hand landed on my thigh, like he was my boyfriend or something, and that had some small part of my brain sending up a warning signal, but it was quickly silenced. Heat radiated out of his palm, into my body, and that had my eyes falling closed for a minute as I let out a long breath.
“Don’t you dare,” I growled.
“Yeah? Eyes on me, beautiful.” Was it his alpha command that had me looking up or just because I wanted to watch him stare at me like I was something he was dying to eat? “If this is what you want, you—”
“I do.” With a blink, I had a realisation. “Unless you’ve changed your mind? In which case—”
“No hope of that.”
That low growl, the way his hand squeezed my thigh then was placed back on the wheel, it freaking turned me to mush, right up until we pulled up outside a very nice looking house. Reaching for the door, I found it pulled open, and then I was picked up and carried down the front path.
“Tex!” I glanced around the quiet street, sure the neighbours had to be wondering what the hell was going on. “You don’t have to carry me.”
“Want to.” His eyes blazed silver as he came to a stop at his front door, then pushed the key in without looking. “Need to.”
“There’s no arguing with him when he’s like this.” We did have witnesses. Ethan grinned as he walked up the front path, Grey bringing up the rear. “Best to just let him have his way.”
So I did. That involved being taken down a hallway, a door being kicked open, and then I was finally set down on my feet. Tex stood there, hands flexing as his head drew down.
“Need to kiss you,” he growled. “Have since the second I saw you today. Nadia—”
I reached up and sank my fingers into his hair before pulling his mouth down on mine. The drive over to Crowe Corp, I wondered how it would work, if I could even get turned on by a bunch of strangers. I had no such concerns right now. His mouth was hungry, demanding, forcing me to cling to his broad shoulders.
Right before Ethan appeared by my shoulder.
“Got some of that sweetness for me too?” I was panting, trying to catch my breath when I saw him standing there. A crooked smile and he took a step forward. “We didn’t talk about whether or not I liked kissing. I do, just saying.”
I felt a little more reticent with Ethan, which was obviously ridiculous. Somehow he felt more like an actual stranger than Tex.
“If you kiss him, at least he’ll shut up for a minute,” Tex said, pressing his body against mine.
Feeling his arms around me made me curiously bolder. It wasn’t Nadia that reached out, touching that pretty blond hair, but someone else.
Something else.
The rapid pulse beating in Ethan’s neck. The way his smile faded and the silver replaced blue in his eyes. That rapt fascination, as if he was the Big Bad Wolf and ready to eat me all up, had me moving closer. A little grunt of satisfaction as I buried my fingers in his hair was what sealed the deal. That sharp intake of breath, his hand landing on the small of my back, pressing me against him, and then he kissed me.
Where Tex was all hard kisses, Ethan was so much slower, sensual even. I felt lost in a tide of sensation, one kiss blending into another. When his tongue touched mine, I let out my own muffled moan. He gripped me tighter, fingers burrowing into the small of my back, as if he was scared I’d pull away.
Well, I had to in order to catch my breath, only to see Grey appear in the doorway.
His hands were in his pockets and he strolled in like this was an ordinary work day, not the four of us about to have sex. Those cool blue eyes took in everything, then turned to silver when they saw me.
“So you said kisses were OK, right?”
I was trying for some levity. Anything to break his solemn focus, and when he came closer, I thought it might have worked. Large hands cupped my jaw, and why did that feel ten times more intimate than what happened before? Perhaps because rather than kiss me instantly, his thumb brushed against my cheek. There was a tiny quirk of his lips as he studied my face before he nodded slowly.
