I smirked, pulling my sweats back up.

“Told you it wouldn't take long.”

She turned her head to look at me, a lazy smile on her face.

“You're crazy, you know that?”

“Crazy about you.”

She laughed, shaking her head as she sat up and reached for her underwear.

“I gotta go meet Drayla.”

“I know.” I leaned down and kissed her forehead. “Go handle your business. I'll be here when you get back.”

She stood, adjusting her dress and smoothing down her hair.

“You better be.”

I watched her go into the bathroom, wash up, and then come back out, grab her purse, and head toward the door with that satisfied glow still on her face.

Yeah, I was definitely sprung.

The second I stepped into the hallway, I shook my head as I pressed the elevator button, replaying the look on his face when I opened the hotel room door. Out of everything I thought might happen on this trip, seeing my husband standing outside my room, pretending to be room service damn sure wasn't on my bingo card.

That man had lost his damn mind.

A laugh slipped past my lips just as the elevator doors opened. I stepped inside, and before they could close, my phone buzzed in my hand.

Drayla: Girl, where the hell you at?

I bit my bottom lip. Yeah… she was about to cuss my ass out.

Me: I'm on the elevator.

Three little bubbles popped up almost instantly.

Then…

Drayla: Bullshit.

I rolled my eyes.

Me: I’m serious.

Before I could even lock my phone, another message came through.

Drayla: Sianni… did Kyrie ass fly all the way out here?

My fingers froze over the screen.

How the hell did she know?

The elevator dinged before I could come up with an answer. The doors slid open, and the first thing I saw was Drayla standing dead in the middle of the lobby with both hands planted on her hips like somebody's disappointed mama.

The second our eyes met, one of her eyebrows lifted.

“I knew it.”
