He pulled off, and about thirty minutes later, we were pulling into the resort. It wasn’t a huge island. It mainly had little shops for tourists, restaurants, and a few clubs for people looking to hang out.
Once we came to a stop, I thanked the driver, climbed out, and headed inside. I walked up to the front desk to get Sianni’s room information, but, of course, somebody had to have a fan moment.
“You Kyrie Maddox?” the young woman behind the desk asked, her eyes getting wide.
I laughed.
“Yeah.”
“I knew it!” She covered her mouth before pulling her phone out. “Can I please get a picture.”
I looked at my watch before nodding.
“I gotchu.”
After we snapped the picture, she thanked me about five different times before finally giving me what I came for.
“Appreciate you.”
I took the room number, thanked her again, and then headed toward the elevator. A couple minutes later, I was standing outside Sianni’s door.
Smirking to myself, I knocked, then covered the peephole with my hand. I wanted to surprise her.
“Who is it?” I heard her small voice call from the other side.
I cleared my throat.
“Room service,” I answered, trying my best to disguise my voice.
I wasn’t sure if the shit was going to work, but it was worth a try.
“Room service?” she questioned. “I ain’t call no damn room service.”
I heard the lock click, and the door swung open. I couldn’t hold my laugh in.
“Wassup, baby?”
Her mouth fell open.
“Kyrie… what the hell are you doing here?”
I licked my lips as my eyes settled on her.
“I came to see my wife.”
She blinked a couple of times like she couldn’t believe I was actually standing there.
“See me? You do know this is a girls’ trip, right?”
“I know exactly what it is.” I stepped a little closer, letting my eyes travel over her from head to toe. “But I couldn’t stop thinking ahout you.”
“Kyrie…”
The way he said my name almost made me laugh.
“What?” I asked, grinning. “You ain’t happy to see me?”
“I am.” She smiled in spite of herself. “I’m just shocked.”
