Her expression softened.
“I know.”
“Nawl.” I shook my head, my hand sliding down to rest over her stomach. “I don't think you do.”
I leaned down and pressed a kiss right where my hand had been—right where our baby was growing—and felt her fingers thread through my hair.
“You carrying my baby, Sianni,” I said, looking back up at her. “You really think I'm ’bout to let anything happen to you? To either of y'all?”
Her eyes glistened, and for a second, I thought she might cry. But, instead, she reached up and cupped my face in both hands, pulling me back down to her.
“I know, Kyrie,” she whispered against my lips. “I know.”
I kissed her again, slower this time. Deeper. Like I was trying to pour everything I couldn't say into that one moment.
Her hands slid down my chest, her nails dragging lightly against my skin, and I felt my last bit of control start to slip away.
I pulled back just enough to hook my fingers into the waistband of her leggings and ease them down her legs, taking my time. She lifted her hips to help me, and I tossed them aside before letting my eyes drift back up to her.
Damn… She was perfect.
“You so damn beautiful,” I said, my hands sliding up her thighs.
She smiled, her breathing already uneven.
“You say that all the time.”
“’Cause it's true.”
I leaned down and pressed a kiss to her inner thigh, then another, working my way up slowly. Her breath hitched, and I felt her body tense beneath my hands.
“Kyrie…”
“Relax, baby,” I said, my voice low. “I got you.”
She let out a shaky breath, her fingers gripping the sheets as I continued my slow path upward. By the time I reached where I wanted to be, her breathing was ragged, and I hadn't even really touched her yet.
I looked up at her, my hands still resting on her thighs.
“You good?”
She nodded, her eyes half-closed.
“Yeah.”
“You sure?”
“Kyrie…” She let out a breathless laugh. “Stop playing.”
A grin tugged at my mouth.
“Aight.”
I didn't make her wait any longer.
The second my mouth was on her, she let out a sound that went straight through me. Her back arched off the bed, and her hands flew to my head, her fingers tangling in my hair as she tried to pull me closer.
I took my time, savoring every reaction, every sound she made. The way her thighs trembled. The way she said my name, like it was the only word she knew.
