“You promised me.”
My jaw tightened. I already knew exactly what she was talking about.
“I promised you I'd think before I move. I ain't promise to let shit slide.”
“And I'm not asking you to let it slide.” Her hands settled against my chest. “I'm asking you to think first.”
My eyes dropped to her stomach. Fuck. I rubbed a hand over my face before pulling her against me.
“You get on my fucking nerves.”
“I know.”
“And don't ever do no shit like that again.”
She pulled back enough to look at me. “I can't promise that.”
My eyes narrowed.
“Sianni.”
“What?” A tiny smile tugged at her lips. “I'm being honest.”
“See, this the shit I'm talking about.”
She laughed, and I shook my head before placing my hand over her stomach.
“I'm serious, though, ma.”
Her smile faded. “I know.”
“I need both of y'all good.”
“We are.”
I stared at her for another second before leaning down and kissing her forehead.
“Aight.”
But while I held my wife against me, one thing was still bothering the fuck out of me.
Amani had lied, and Alexia had been behind the pictures the entire time.
I wasn't about to crash out over either of their asses. I had too much shit to lose for that.
But that didn't mean I was letting it go.
I just had to figure out how I wanted to handle it.
My phone started ringing before I could sit with that thought too long.
I looked over at it, then back at Sianni.
She narrowed her eyes. “Who is it?”
I reached down and grabbed it off the couch.
“My agent.”
