“And?”
My eyebrows shot up.
Drayla let out a low, “Oh, this bitch…”
I held my hand out toward her without looking away from Alexia.
“Nawl, Dray. I got it.”
Alexia folded her arms. “You came all the way over here to ask me some shit you already knew?”
“That ain’t the only thing I came to ask you.”
Her expression changed again, and I stepped closer.
“How long were you fucking Amani behind my back?”
This time, there was nowhere to hide. Alexia’s entire face fell. Drayla’s head snapped toward her.
“Yeah, bitch.” I nodded slowly. “Let’s talk about that.”
Alexia recovered quickly, rolling her eyes. “Girl, please.”
“Please what?”
“You and Amani ain’t even together no more.”
“What the fuck does that have to do with what I asked you?”
“It got everything to do with it.”
“Nawl, it don’t. Because I’m talking about when me and that nigga were together.” I pointed between us. “When you were supposed to be my best friend.”
She sucked her teeth.
“How long?”
Alexia looked away.
“Look at me when I’m talking to you.”
Her eyes snapped back to mine. “Bitch, who the fuck you think you talking to?”
“You.”
Drayla stepped closer when Alexia did, but I held my ground.
“I’m talking to the bitch who was smiling in my face while fucking my man behind my back. The same bitch who, years later, still ain’t got shit better to do than sit around, plotting on my fucking marriage.”
“Plotting?” Alexia laughed. “Girl, ain’t nobody plotting on your perfect ass life.”
“Then what the fuck you call leaking them pictures?”
“I call it giving everybody a chance to see you ain’t as fucking perfect as you pretend to be.”
I went still. This wasn’t about the pictures, Amani, or Kyrie, but about me. I slowly nodded.
“So, that’s what this really about?”
