“Aight.”

I loosened my grip and let him try it himself. This time, the colors blended much smoother.

“See! There you go.”

That cocky-ass grin spread across his face.

“I told you I could paint.”

I stared at him.

“Nigga, I just showed you how.”

“Don’t matter.” He nodded toward his canvas. “Natural talent.”

“Oh, my God.”

I started to step away, but Kyrie caught my wrist.

“Where you going?”

“Back to my painting. Since you got all this natural talent, you don’t need me anymore.”

“Nawl, bring your ass back over here.” He pulled me closer. “I ain’t finished.”

“Then finish.”

“I need my teacher.”

I couldn’t stop the smile that crept across my face.

“You really enjoying this?”

Kyrie glanced at the canvas before looking back at me.

“Yeah, this shit cool.”

I lifted a brow.

“But…” His hand slid around my waist, pulling me a little closer. “I like doing it with you more.”

That caught me off guard.

“You do?”

“Yeah.” He shrugged like he hadn’t just said something sweet as hell. “You like this art shit. I like being around you. Seems like a win-win to me.”

A smile slowly spread across my face.

“Aww, Big Daddy.”

His face immediately twisted. “Don’t do that shit.”

I laughed. “Do what?”

“That little soft-ass voice.”

“You being sweet.”
