“Hey, Big Daddy.” She smiled, pushing herself up from the couch.
The second she stood, my eyes dropped to the dress she had on, and I damn near stopped in my tracks.
This woman had really put on the same dress I told her ass she wasn’t wearing.
“Aye, Si.” My eyes slowly traveled down her body before coming back to her face. “What the hell did I tell you about that dress?”
“What’s the matter, Big Daddy?” A little smirk played on her lips as she turned slightly, making the material hug her curves even more. “I like it. It’s cute, and it fits me just right.”
I dragged my tongue across my teeth.
This woman was testing the fuck out of me, and judging by that little smile on her face, she knew it too. Meanwhile, I was trying to remember we had somewhere to be, and I ain’t have time for the shit she was making me wanna do.
“Yeah, whatever, ma.” I shook my head. “You trying to get a nigga fucked up, and I’m trying to make it to this photoshoot on time.”
“Kyrie, you are overacting.” She sucked her teeth and rolled her eyes. “There is nothing wrong with this dress.”
“Sianni, it’s a whole lot wrong with that damn dress.”
“Oh really?” she folded her arms across her chest, poking that bottom lip out. “What’s wrong with it then?”
I stared at her. She really thought she was standing on business too.
That shit was one of the things that attracted me to her in the first place. Sianni wasn’t the type to tuck her tail just because a nigga raised his voice or didn’t like something. She stood ten toes in whatever the hell she believed, even when the person was standing across from her was me.
And I needed that shit.
“For starters, it’s too damn short.”
She looked down at herself. “It is not.”
“Yes, the fuck it is. Soon as you walk on there, that cameraman gone be staring at your ass.”
“Well, I can’t help that, Kyrie.” She shrugged. “That’s how I’m built.”
“Uh-huh.” I nodded slowly, letting my eyes travel over her again. “And you know exactly how the fuck you built too. That’s the problem.”
A smile tried to creep across her face, but she quickly hid it.
“And second—” I stepped closer, lowering my voice. “You keep standing in front of me looking like that, we ain’t making it to no damn photoshoot on time.”
Her eyes narrowed. “Kyrie.”
“What?” A smirk pulled at my lips. “I’m telling the truth.”
“Go get ready so we can leave.”
“Stop trying to change the subject.”
“I’m not changing anything.”
“Yeah, you are.” I leaned closer, watching the way she tried to keep that attitude on her face. “You know exactly what the fuck you’re doing to me.”
“Kyrie,” she warned me again, but this time her voice didn’t have nearly as much bite behind it.
I grinned.
“Exactly.”
