“Of course! Here you are!” the baker says, handing Tyson my three sweet buns. I grab them from him and take a bite out of the first one of the night. The sugary honey gives me exactly the taste I was craving. We start walking around the festival, weaving through the crowds.

“Mmm, so good. Here, try some,” I say, pushing a bun towards him.

“Not really a big sweets fan.”

“I don’t care, just try it.”

“So, you’re bullying me into eating snacks now.”

“No, I’m being a positive influence in your life.”

“Yeah, you’ve done enough of that,” he says, taking a bite out of the bun finally. “It’s good.”

“See, I told you.” I can’t stop the grin from spreading across my face.

Tyson smiles at me, and my heart flutters.

He looks so handsome under the warm light; his eyes seem even more intense. The air around us almost feels as though it has a pulse. I notice everything about him in this moment, like how his brow is raised ever so slightly. Even our breathing feels in sync.

“Rohan…” Tyson starts. I just noticed we’ve somehow wandered to a quieter area of town, the chattering and laughter of the festival now just background noise.

“Hm?” I hum, looking up at him.

“You know I would never leave here … alone. I wanted to tell you that.”

“I … I know.”

Tyson steps closer, distorting my senses. “You know, me and Zero are the same as well…”

“I know…” I say, just barely above a whisper. I wish I could calm my heart right now. But I can’t. Tyson won’t let me. The way he’s looking at me feels like a touch to my skin.

“Rohan?”

“Yes, Tyson, I know … I…”

“It’s always in your eyes, you know that?”

“What? What do you mean?”

“What you want … It’s always in your eyes. They always give you away,” Tyson says, his breath warm against my lips as he leans in closer. “You should work on that, kitten.”

I close the distance between us, moaning when he grips me tightly and pulls me into his body. Tyson’s fingers thread roughly into my hair, his hold deliciously tight. He’s kissing me, devouring me whole, consuming me. I whine into his mouth as he licks at my tongue, and he lets out a groan that makes my dick weep when I suck on his.

“Back … we need to go back to the room,” Tyson says after breaking our kiss.

“But … we just got out here. Ty!” I protest. He’s already grabbed my hand and is dragging me toward the inn.

“I can’t take the games anymore, Rohan.”

“What games?”

“You know what I’m talking about.”

“You’re delusional,” I huff just as we reach the entrance to the inn. We step inside and head straight to our room, not even saying hello to Marta, who looks like she’s finally heading out to the festival herself.

When we’re back inside, Tyson shuts the door behind us and throws me onto the bed.

“Ty…” My breath is ragged.
