The next corridor is finally one filled with rooms; we’ve already searched three by the time we’ve reached the end. I’m starting to feel a slight panic coming along. Where the fuck could it have taken Ty? I mean, this castle is big as hell, but all of it can’t be functional, right?
Then again, we’re trapped in a game that’s obviously gone haywire.
Leon has cleared the map for the time being, so he’s split off and started looking into other rooms so we could cover more base. Hopefully nothing pops out of the dark and attacks me. There’s only so much my lance can do. In here anyway.
“Hey! I think I found your buddy.” Leon’s mouth spreads into what I think is a grin from here.
“Tyson!” I choke out, running past him.
The room is completely dark save for the night sky illuminating it. It’s honestly a strange place for a captive to be in. Tyson is lying on the floor of what seems like a small personal library. With my brows pinched together, I approach him. “Ty…” I can finally see him in the user interface again. His HP is dangerously low, his breathing shallow and harsh.
“Ty … hey, I’m here, okay?” I whisper, grazing my fingers across his cheek. He’s so cold. His body feels so heavy as I pull him into my lap.
“What happened to you?” I croak quietly, sniffling my tears away.
I lean down to heal him with my kiss. He cracks his eyes open a little before grabbing my cheek to stop me. “No, Rohan. You need it for the map.”
Chapter 29
Tyson
My head feels like it weighs more than my entire body as I lay in Rohan’s lap. His thighs and the scent of him are comforting. I missed it. Probably should be thinking about more logical things right now, like getting the fuck out of here, but I feel like I could do anything now that he’s here. With the way he’s looking down at me.
He’s never looked at me like that before.
I’ll make sure to fuck with him about it later.
I chuckle, and he frowns at me, making those cute little lines between his eyebrows.
“What’s funny in this situation?” he huffs.
“Still mad I won’t let you kiss me? Don’t worry, we can kiss plenty when we’re out of here.”
“Tyson, you’re delusional.”
“Says the one trying to make out after he left me in a dark, dusty castle for days,” I smirk up at him.
“I can’t believe, even half dead, these are the things you say.”
“Half dead and you’re trying to kiss me.”
“Shut up.” Rohan groans and uses a potion to give me some health, instantly making my body feel lighter again.
“Ah, so you brought potions but were trying to use your tongue instead. I knew you were doing that just to…” Before I can get the rest out, Rohan pushes my head off his lap and back onto the hard floor with a thud. I laugh, staring up at the stone ceiling.
That’s my Rohan.
“Glad you’re alright,” a voice says from behind him. I turn my head to see Leon, the gardener? Come to think of it, I was just going to ask Rohan how the fuck he got through the map by himself.
I guess there’s my answer.
“Leon…”
“The one and only, helped your lov—I mean, friend here come find you.” He grins, putting out a hand to help me up. I stumble into him a little, my body still feeling off its axis.
“Thanks, and thank you for escorting him.”
Rohan is looking around the room, opening drawers and going through books on the shelf. He seems to love to wander. He walks over to the window and looks out for a little, the blue night light looks pretty against his skin.
