“Who does this pussy belong to?” Flint growls
“You.” She doesn’t try to clamp down on it. Neither does Flint, as if he wants their neighbors to hear. Wants Agony to hear. Wants Harbinger’s every sound amplified.
She’s so close. High on the adrenaline of being held aloft, of Agony this close to seeing them, of being tormented and never quite given what she needs. And Flint’s textured tongue, marking every inch of her cunt, melding over her clit when she stretches her arms up the wall to find something to hold onto.
Then Flint’s floodgates open. Pouring his emotions into her, arousal and possession and protection screaming straight to her clit. It’s electric when he touches his tongue to it, making her hips stutter as he snarls.
“Whose is it?”
“Yours! It’s yours, it’s all fucking yours.”
His eyes burn into hers before he buries his mouth against her. “Then tell him.”
And she does, screaming through her release, fingers scraping into the wall as Flint’s horns gouge the wallpaper. He’s the only thing keeping her steady. When she comes down, Flint takes his time pulling his mouth off her. Eating until she’s shaking, quivering, pleading with him to stop while her hips keep rolling over his tongue.
His chest rises and falls when he pulls her down, trailing claws against her scalp as she tries to think of anything past this. Atop Agony’s head, the flaming shadows return to wisps, his eyes leaving bright spots on the blooming picture.
ELEVEN
Agony
By the time there’s movement behind Agony, his head hasn’t stopped swimming.
“I’ll watch tonight.” Sounds like Harbinger’s still breathless, too. Agony’s tongue drags over his lips.
Flint tries to argue, straining like he’s pushing himself upright, but the movement stops.
“Yes,” Harbinger insists. “You need to heal. And you stayed up last night.” There’s a smile in her voice when it echoes off a different wall, as if she’s turned away. “You’re not even going to be able to protect yourself if you’re exhausted.” Fabric rustles, like she’s trying to trap him in bed by tucking in the sheets. “You can sleep between us. I’ll keep watch from the other bed.”
“Wake me every hour,” Flint grumbles. Glaring red eyes come into focus in the plastic reflection over the picture as he rolls to face Agony.
Flint is tense for minutes after until his breathing slows, settling into sleep. Harbinger completes her nightly ritual, flicking on the television as she searches for her toothbrush. Once her weight settles into bed, Agony takes the chance to speak.
“Possessive, isn’t he?”
Her sounds stop, frozen. Flint’s reflection doesn’t move. Without seeing Harbinger, without a glimpse of what she’s doing, Agony can feel her. Her breath held like she’s trespassing, sneaking into someplace she knows she isn’t allowed. A rush of adrenaline sweeps into her, and she ducks under the sign warning her to Keep Out.
“Not until you showed up.”
Agony’s head tilts dreamily. “You’re welcome, then.”
There’s the barest hint of a laugh before she stops it. She shouldn’t be finding humor in the thing that tried to kill her.
“You don’t question your abilities, do you?” he asks. There’s no response. Agony didn’t expect one, sinking down in the chair. “You see what you see, and you know it’s true. Not much room for error.”
“Yes…”
“‘Yes, but…’?”
There’s a snap in her voice. “There’s no ‘but.’”
“Sure there isn’t.”
He pictures her stewing from across the room before her voice surprises him. “There was no ‘but’ before I touched you.”
Agony’s smile widens. “That sounds like the beginning of a love story.”
She groans under her breath.
