“I want this as much as you,” she assured him.

She didn’t give a shit about anybody else. She didn’t care they would watch everything they did together, but she hated them for their intrusion into this private world of her and Brokk’s making.

This would most likely be their last time together, and she would seize the opportunity without hesitation. Let them watch; she wouldn’t let that stop her from having this man.

She was sure being watched wouldn’t be a first for Brokk. The dark fae weren’t known for their modesty or discretion; it would be a first for her.

Witches embraced their sexuality, but she’d never ventured into voyeurism before. And she never would have with him either, simply because he was hers, and she’d never share him with anyone in such a way.

They didn’t have a choice here. They either grasped this moment or let it slip away from them.

“No. I won’t let them see you—”

“They already see me, and it doesn’t matter. Nothing else exists but you,” she whispered.

“But it does.”

“Not to me. Not anymore.”

As their gazes remained locked, she saw a softening in his. “I’ll hurt you.”

“No, you won’t. I’m sure of it.”

When she bent to kiss him again, he didn’t respond, but when she nipped his bottom lip, he stiffened, and his shaft jumped in her hand. She didn’t take joy in knowing she would win this battle; she simply took pleasure in him.

His mouth moved against hers, and his fingers slid into her hair as he pulled her closer. Kaylia’s heart raced, and her entire body screamed with anticipation.

Her skin erupted in tingles that raced over her. She hadn’t forgotten how alive and powerful he made her feel, but the memory had faded beneath the horror.

Now, her body recalled all the power that flooded her when they were together—the awakening that had pierced through her grief and self-imposed isolation from her loss of Fabian.

Brokk broke through every horrible thing that ever happened to her, including this place. He buried the bad memories under a wave of pleasure and love. He awakened parts of her she’d never known existed and made her feel alive in a way she never had before him.

She was his, and he was hers, and no matter the circumstances, everything was right when they were together.

“Turn away,” Ryker commanded.

Somehow, his words broke through the bubble protecting her from the outside world, but they were the last sounds she heard from anyone other than them. All that existed was their love.

CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE

The last remaining shreds of reason slid away from Brokk. It was useless to fight Kaylia on this, especially when he desired her so badly.

He hated those things out there, watching them, waiting for a show. He wouldn’t give it to them.

Oh, he’d take her. He’d been denied too long to resist anymore, but he’d keep her protected. If he had to, he’d grasp hold of those bars and never let go if it kept him from harming her.

His fingers tightened in her hair as he deepened the kiss, and his other hand settled on her waist. Oh fuck, she feels so good.

Every part of him screamed to be sated by the woman lying against him. Her breasts skimmed his chest as she moved further on top of him.

The other women the ophidians threw into his cell would have nourished and helped strengthen him, but Kaylia would complete him. They could never do for him what she could, and his ravenous body thrummed in anticipation of what was to come.

When she settled fully on top of him and guided his cock toward her entrance, his temples pounded with the blood rushing to them. His body tensed in anticipation of being inside her again while his brain screamed against this.

And on this, his brain was right.

Shaking off the lingering effects of the bars, he wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her to the side. She could shut out the rest of the world and pretend these monsters didn’t exist, but he’d be damned if they saw more of her than they already did.
