When he entered her, she cried out, and her fingers dug into his back as her legs encircled his waist. Grabbing her by the hips, he rolled over to settle her on top.
It was where he far preferred her, so he could watch as delight played across her features and her breasts swayed enticingly when her head tipped back. She was beautiful, and she was his.
He was fascinated by her as she circled her hips and came with a loud cry. With her muscles contracting around his shaft, he followed her over the edge as tingles ran down his spine and his back arched off the bed.
It was a good thing he’d brought his potion for birth control with him on this journey. Otherwise, she might end up with his babe inside her, as he knew she hadn’t come prepared.
Would that be so bad?
The shock accompanying the idea left him immobile as she slumped against him before rolling to the side. He’d never considered children before, never wanted to be a father or tied down by kids.
But as his hand rested against her flat belly, he couldn’t help thinking he’d enjoy seeing her heavy with his child. What is wrong with me?
Many immortals would say many things were wrong with him, but he’d always been perfect the way he was. Everyone changes.
It was true, and while he’d never seen a reason to change before, he’d gone and done so anyway… because of her. And now, just maybe, he’d like to be a father.
But such a thing wouldn’t be possible while stuck in this realm. He threaded his fingers through hers while her breathing and pulse slowed.
“I’m glad I finally got to fuck you in a real bed and not some mattress on the floor or rocks,” he said.
She laughed before lifting her head and folding her hands on his chest to rest her chin on them. “I didn’t think conditions mattered to you.”
He grinned at her. “Oh, nothing will stop me, and I’d already decided I’d fuck you on a bed of nails, but I’m also a prince who appreciates luxury.”
He loved the way her eyes twinkled with amusement. They warmed his heart and soul, which he’d never believed possible.
He brushed the hair back from her face as he relished her beauty. I’m a lucky man.
After everything he’d done to her, she had every right to hate him, but for some reason, she was smiling at him like he was the greatest thing in the world. He’d do anything to ensure that didn’t change.
He lifted his head to kiss her as a knock sounded on the door. “Ignore it.”
She met his lips, and the kiss deepened while the knocking grew louder. With a groan, Orin fell back. “Fuck off!”
Sahira chuckled. “The muffling spell is still intact.”
She waved her fingers in an intricate pattern as she worked to release the muffling spell and alarm she set before they first fell asleep. When she finished, she rested her hands on his chest again.
As more knocking sounded, Orin yelled at them again. This time, he got a reply. “Desmond has requested you all join him for brunch.”
“Now they’ll know you spent the night here,” she said.
“We’re not hiding anything about our relationship from them, Sahira. We never have.”
“I know, but he’s going to use it against us.”
“Yes, he will.”
And the only thing he could do to stop it was find a way out of this place. So far, that hadn’t proven to be a simple feat, but he would do it.
When the doorknob rattled, Orin shifted Sahira and tossed a blanket over his witch. Leaping to his feet, he made it to the door as it started opening.
He grasped it before it could swing too far and scowled at the woman before him. She took a startled step back. It wasn’t Aurora, but he recognized the woman as the one who dealt with Sahira the most.
“I didn’t say you could come in,” he snarled.
When the woman took a startled step back, a guard loomed up behind her. “Your presence has been requested, and you will honor the command,” the guard barked.
