He shrugged, letting his hands wander up her waist and over her breasts before he lifted her shirt over her head. “Dinner can probably wait.”
“You should lie down,” she said quietly, walking him backward to the bed.
He collapsed against the mattress.
She grinned.
“I’m not quite sure what I’ve done to deserve this, but you just give me a couple of hints and I’ll make sure it happens more often.”
She chuckled. It was hard to put into words how much he’d done—how much knowing Nate had changed her life. Tonight she was on a mission to be everything to him that he’d been to her since they met. Crawling to him, she pressed kisses along his jaw. “I want you to relax and enjoy,” she whispered, journeying her way down his neck and chest, pausing to trace the outline of his pecs before she moved on to leave openmouthed kisses on the defined muscles of his six-pack.
He moaned, playing his fingers through her hair.
She smiled, loving the sounds he made—the way he tensed and whispered her name. “Feel good?”
“Oh, yeah.”
“I think I can make it even better.” She loosened his towel and let it fall open, then stared at his erection waiting for her.
He pulled her back up to him, capturing her mouth in a deep, hungry kiss. “I’m naked and you’re not. We should fix that.” He made quick work of ridding her of her bra and toying with her nipples. “An excellent start, but we can do better.” He unbuttoned her jeans and helped her tug until she was free. Then he went after her panties.
She shook her head, settling his hands on the bed. “I’m in charge.”
He lifted his brow.
“I’m going to do all kinds of amazing things to you,” she promised as she gave him a gentle shove to the pillows and made her way down, whimpering as her breasts brushed his chest and stomach, teasing them both along her erotic path. Nipping at his hips, she touched him, sliding her palm along his hot, rigid skin, holding his gaze as she went after him with her mouth.
He sucked in a breath and groaned as his hips jerked in reflex.
She moved slowly, keeping a rhythm he often used on her until he gasped and clutched at her hair.
“God, Callie, don’t finish me. I want to be in you.”
She released him, heady with triumph and ready for more.
He sat up, his eyes blazing with desire, his chest heaving. “Come here.”
“Not yet.” She peeled off her panties and straddled his lap. “Lie back,” she whispered against his lips. “I’m going to be kissing you when I take you in.”
He pulled her forward with him as he lay back, kissing her as if he were starving while she inched his thick girth into her. He moaned as she gasped and gyrated her hips, slowly at first, then faster as her pleasure built. She changed her angle, sitting up and rocking as she brought his hands to her breasts, and bowed back when she could tell he was close. “Nate,” she called, surrendering and letting herself go.
He groaned loudly, gripping her waist as his hips jerked up and he erupted inside her. “God. My God,” he panted out as the flash and fire ebbed and he pulled her mouth down to his for a long, tender kiss. “That was a hell of a distraction.”
She grinned. “You’re pretty great at creating distractions yourself.” Her smile faded as she cradled his face in her hands. “I want you to be okay. Nothing matters more than that.”
He pressed his hands on top of hers. “I’m all right.”
She shook her head. “Nothing else matters.”
He nodded. “What do you say to snuggling up here for a couple of minutes before we eat our cold soup?”
“I say that sounds great.” She settled her head on his shoulder and held him close, wanting to keep his mind focused on anything but her case.
