When Everett seemed like he was done with fishing, I knew it was time to go home, but I didn’t want our time together to end. “Hey, want to come back to my place for a while? We can watch a movie?”
“Netflix and chill, huh?”
“As much or as little of those things as you want. I’ll even make dinner.”
“Hm…” He scratched his chin, pretending to think about it. “I like this idea, but…”
“But?”
“Let’s stop and get something from the diner. It’ll be faster and we can get on with the chill part.”
“Perfect. Let’s get this picked up.” It was pretty easy since we didn’t actually catch any fish to keep. We loaded everything in my truck and headed out. I was seriously excited about this next step, though I hadn’t anticipated it at all, which got me thinking that I didn’t have any supplies at the house. “I, uh, would like to make another stop before we get to the diner.”
“Oh?”
“I, uh, shit, this is hard.”
“Just spit it out already. We are adults here.”
“Need supplies, Ever.”
For a second, he stared at me like he had no idea what I was talking about, but when I raised my eyebrows, he got it. “Oh. Yeah. How about I phone in the order while you go in the store?”
“Perfect.” I was so good with that plan and thrilled that Everett seemed just as excited.
It took us more time than I would have liked to get the food and get home, but it could have been worse, and the food was delicious as always. We sat at my big dinner table out back. The evening air felt warm, and I lit a few citronella candles to hopefully keep the bugs away. Overall, it was nice, and even better, cleaning up was easy.
“Any idea what movie you want to watch?” I asked as I dropped the final bit of garbage in the can.
“No, uh…don’t think it matters. I’m not planning on watching the movie, are you?”
“Honestly, no. I’d rather watch you.”
“Good. Then just put something on.”
I turned on the TV, flipped to Netflix, clicked the first movie that came up, and turned the volume low while Everett made himself comfortable on the couch. My couch was great for snuggling and watching movies, and I was happy to crawl up there with him. It only took a little maneuvering to get all wrapped up together comfortably. But true to my word, I wasn’t watching the movie. I looked into his eyes, loving the soft gray hue.
“You were serious, huh?”
“Yeah. Very.”
“Mm-hmm…” He touched my lips with the tip of his finger, and I sucked it into my mouth. “Damn, Cameron.”
I let go of the finger and kissed his lips instead. He pressed back, giving as much as receiving. As our tongues dueled, Everett grabbed my ass and squeezed. My dick came alive and pressed painfully into the denim of my shorts. He let go when I grunted. “Sorry, you okay?”
“Too much of okay, if you know what I mean.” I waggled my eyebrows, making him laugh. That was definitely a milestone in Operation Get Everett to Relax, and one I hoped to repeat because his voice was incredible and his eyes lit up like gray diamonds.
“W-What did you do with the supplies?”
What did I do with them? Oh, left them on the island counter in the kitchen. “Wait here. I’ll get them.” I rushed into the kitchen and found what I wanted. A big bottle of lube and a deluxe box of condoms. I opened the box and pulled out a strip, then raced back to the couch and tossed it at him.
He held up the strip. “Ambitious?”
I shrugged. “Optimistic? Maybe.”
Everett laughed again, and I decided that was the best aphrodisiac in the world. I grabbed my dick and squeezed it.
“Why don’t you just take them off?”
