My head whips around and I can faintly see a back door down another hallway. I run as fast as I can towards it.

When I reach the door, this one opens and I rush outside, gasping and breathing in the fresh air.

My eyes land on the large hedge maze Dante has. It takes up the entirety of the backyard. There’s nowhere else to run.

So I do the only thing I can do: I run into the maze and hope I can find the other exit and escape this hell.

Chapter Four

Dante

Iled Sienna right where I wanted her.

My large hedge maze dominates the entire backyard. The only way out is to go through it. Fortunately, I know the way out. Sienna doesn’t.

My heart rate increases as my blood lights on fire. This is the pure thrill of the hunt. The chase. The thing I love most when I torture my prisoners. It draws things out. Sienna is my prisoner. The woman I am destined to hate. Gabriel cannot control me and I will make sure he knows that.

I take my time walking through the maze. I’ll catch up to Sienna eventually. She’s naked, bare footed, and doesn’t know the way out. It’s almost too easy I feel bad for her. But I never claimed to fight fair.

I can hear her desperate breathing as she looks for a way out. Soon, she’ll get tired and I’ll catch her.

The low whistle leaves me. I wonder if it scares her. It probably does. Which is exactly why I do it again. I keep whistling as I move through the maze, getting closer and closer to my prey.

I make it to the middle and look around. The maze branches off into four different directions. Only one leads to the outside. If Sienna took the other three, she’ll eventually make her way back into the middle. I sit on the bench that’s right in the center and wait.

If she doesn’t return soon, then I’ll know she chose the right path. Maybe then I’ll let her go. If she’s smart enough to find the exit, then she deserves to leave. I’ll be generous.

Or maybe I won’t be. I’m not known for my generosity.

I wait and wait and wait.

That’s when I hear her breathing and then she runs right into the center. Her eyes widen when she sees me and the scream that erupts from her mouth makes me smile.

“Got you,” I say. Sienna darts off in another direction but I grab her around the waist before she can get far.

“You promised not to touch me,” she cries.

“I did, didn’t I? Well, I also told you that you’re mine and you’re not going anywhere.” I pick her up easily in my arms and carry her back inside. Sienna tries fighting it but she’s no match for me.

I bring her to one of the many guest rooms I have and throw her onto the bed. Before she can get far, I flip her onto her stomach and bring my palm straight to her bare ass. She screams and I laugh. I only spank her once more before I step back. The sight of her red ass makes my cock hard.

“Why did you do that?” she asks.

“Because you weren’t supposed to run.”

“You told me I could go!” Her scream is so loud, it startles me. But I don’t show it. If anyone knew that things can get to me, then my reputation would disappear. I make people afraid of me because they see me like stone. Never flinching.

“I know I did,” I respond as I lean over her body and whisper into her ear. “But catching you is a lot more fun than letting you go, don’t you think?”

She sniffles. It’s then I realize she’s crying. “I hate you.”

“How much?”

“What?”

“How much do you hate me?”

She glances over her shoulder at me. With her stomach still pressed into the bed, she’s in an incredibly vulnerable position. She should count herself lucky that I’m in a good mood today. “I hate you. Does it matter how much?”
