In that moment, I want him more than I’ve ever wanted anything in my life. My body strains toward him, everything bowing up as heat infuses my limbs. Each faltering step takes me closer to him, closer to the one man I know can satisfy that ache between my thighs.

But as I near the shower, I also come closer to the pile of clothes lying haphazard on the bathroom floor. The scent from earlier rushes back, slamming into me hard enough that I nearly stumble back into the doorframe. Rage slithers down my spine as I straighten up and storm toward the pane of glass separating me from the low-life philanderer that has the audacity of coming into my space with the scent of another omega.

With an enraged cry on my lips, I fling the door open, actually startling the Alpha. He jumps and whirls around, his hands balled up into fists. When he sees me, he lowers them and smiles, but soon notes my soured expression. Once more, he lifts his hands, but this time, he presses his palms outward in a more cajoling manner.

But I refuse to be placated. “How dare you come here smelling like another omega cunt. How dare you sully the scent of my nest with the pheromones of another woman’s heat!”

His eyes narrow as he reaches down to turn off the water. “You will mind your tone with me,” he warns, peppering the air with a soft growl.

It has the opposite effect. Instead of forcing me to cower at his feet, everything in me responds to that sound, rippling as desire bursts through me. Moaning, I drop to my knees, not to kneel, but to stroke my clit. He’s impossible to resist. His sound, his scent, all of it surrounds me like a fog bank, suffocating me until the only thing I can even think about is his hands wrapped around my throat and his cock deep inside my pussy.

Whimpering, I watch through heavy-lidded eyes as he steps out of the shower, his body dripping as he stands over me. Sticking out my tongue, I move to lap at him, needing to taste his cock, to have it fill my mouth. But he jerks his hips away at the last moment, forcing me to fall forward against the damp tiles.

Soon, his fingers grip the back of my neck, holding me down as I flail about, whimpering as pain grips my body. Discomfort splinters through me as my joints ache, becoming stiff. Fear slithers into my mind as he holds me there, breathing against my skin.

It’s too soon. It’s all too soon. I haven’t been able to prepare. Nothing. I have no idea what I’m doing. More than that, the scent of the other omega continues to niggle at my brain, refusing to let go.

“You said you wanted me,” I spit out, clawing at the slippery floor. “If that’s the case, then why do you insist on smelling like other women?”

“I told you why. Just yesterday,” he grinds out, gripping me even harder. “I still have the claw marks from your little jealous episode.”

“This smell is so much worse.” I hate the blubbering wail that erupts from my lips, but the scent alone is so pungent it makes my eyes water and my throat threaten to close up.

“She was already in heat when she came into the clinic. I didn’t have time to distance myself. Your heat is the only one that I care about. The one that’s darkening your eyes and spilling slick out onto this floor.”

For extra measure, he slides his fingers between my thighs, slipping them through my lower lips. I can feel the contrast of his skin as he twirls his thick digits through my essence.

“Are you ready to beg me yet, little omega?” His voice is softer this time, almost a purr, and every molecule in my body leaps up, demanding satisfaction.

If only my brain would get on board with everything else. I’m still in there, still wanting to fight this thing. I’m not so far gone that I can’t still resist him. “I’ll never beg.”

“Then you’ll never get fucked.”

He lets go and storms out into the room, leaving me alone with my thoughts. An arctic chill displaces his maddening heat until I’m shivering, alone. Curling up into a ball, I hold onto the last shred of consciousness I have, willing the heat to stay away.

Perhaps if I try hard enough, I can delay it, allowing it to hit once I’m back at the commune. But even as that thought flits through, I know it’s ridiculous. Besides, if not me, then no doubt he would have other omegas to fuck. As painful as that thought is, it forces me to rebel, to pull myself up from the floor.

No other omega is going to have him. In my head, I know it’s irrational, but it’s no use. It’s like I’m watching myself, disassociated to the point where I can no longer control my actions no matter how hard I want to. I watch, unable to stop as I crawl into the room, making my way to where Davix sits on a leather chair like he’s some fucking god or something.

For the moment, he is my god. He’s the only thing I can think about. As I crawl to him, something shifts, breaking open. I watch as he leans forward, his fingers curled as he motions for me to come closer. Just that very act has me undone, until I’m nothing but a writhing mass at his feet.

“Is there something you want to ask of me, little omega?” He purrs, edging himself off of the chair.

“Please.” I barely get the word out before he slides off, kneeling in front of me.

His hand reaches out to curl around my throat, just barely cutting off my air supply. “What did you say, my precious omega?”

My body melts at the hard gravel tone, his rough touch. Looking up at him, I stare into his eyes, drowning in his intense gaze. “Please.”

“Then invite me into your nest, omega. Let me fuck you in your wonderous creation.”

Scrambling to my feet, I make my way over to the bed, pausing for only a moment before climbing onto the edge. “And the other omegas?” Despite the arousal thrumming through my body, despite the bone-deep yearning I have for my Alpha, I have to know. I still have enough lucidity for that.

“There is not now nor will there ever be anyone other than you. You are my princess, my mate,” he murmurs, skimming his hands over my shoulders. “The one I dream about when I close my eyes.” Davix’s lips are soft and warm as they caress my eyelids. “The only one I can ever see myself spending eternity with.”

My heart swells at his words to the point that I’m unable to speak. Motioning toward the pile of fabrics, I silently plead with him, hoping he understands what I need. With a decisive nod, he scoops me into his arms and tosses me into my nest, pausing to allow me to guide his body over mine.

He fits as if it were made for him. Somewhere in my body, I knew it was for him. I had to. All for him. As he sinks down on top of me, the fabrics help bolster his weight until it’s like a warm blanket settling over me.
