up with so much that it’s the very least I can do.
Besides, since the night I first saw her, I wanted to finger fuck her in my car as we drove around
D.C. Tonight, I will finally get my chance.
CHAPTER 9
L ila
MY FINGERS SLIDE OVER THE SILKEN SKIRT FOR JUST A MOMENT, ADMIRING THE QUALITY. THIS IS MY
first time in years buying something brand new, and honestly, it feels a little weird. The fabric is stiff,
unlived in, and certainly not as comfortable as hand-me-down clothes. I would have been fine
wearing something I already own, but all my clothes are more about comfort than looks.
I’m not exactly sure what Master Aiden has in mind for this date, and that concerns me. He just
said ‘fancy’ and left it at that. Turning to face the mirror in the foyer, I let my fingers play with the lacy
edges at the top, my gaze tracing the flouncy bottom half where it stops just above my knees. Did he
want a formal gown? Something floor-length? The woman at the department store said this would be
fancy enough for most restaurants around D.C.
Groaning, I long to run my fingers through my hair, just to help relieve some of the tension clawing
at my scalp, but I can’t do that. Cindy, my coworker, spent far too much time and too many prayers
getting my hair manageable. I can’t disrespect her by messing things up before the date even starts.
The woman that stares back at me from the mirror isn’t me. She’s a painted-up shell that looks
like me. Hopefully Master Aiden won’t be able to tell how uncomfortable I am all dolled up like this.
Even now, the lining of the dress scratches at my skin, and I long to tear it off. Granted, if I show up at
the door naked, I’m sure he wouldn’t mind having me for dinner instead.
A loud rap draws my attention to the door. It’s him.
I hesitate when I reach the door and I know why. This will be my first relationship since
graduating high school. Not that I didn’t have opportunities, I’ve just been too busy with massage
school and making a career for myself… but Master Aiden has been impossible to refuse, and I want
this.
I repeat the thought to myself as I unlock the door and swing it open. His wide smile and warm
gaze give me that little zap of endorphins I’ve been craving, but all too soon his smile turns into a
slight frown. Reaching out, he slides his fingers through my straight tresses, miraculously not snagging
any tangles.
