few wrong proves you know more than I thought,” he murmurs against my hair.

“Does this mean you finally believe that I’m doing some good in my field?”

Snorting, he holds me closer and rocks me gently back and forth. “I wouldn’t go that far. But you

certainly are well-educated.”

Sighing, I lean back into his embrace and shake my head. “I guess I’ll take what I can get.”

“Yes,” he agrees. “You’ll have to. Mind if I take you home? I’m feeling rather possessive and

would hate to have to use my extensive knowledge of musculature to harm anyone here at Black

Light.”

“Even if it was Spencer?” I tease.

“Even then.”

I pause, conjuring up an image of both of them. “He’s bigger than you, you know.”

“Yes. I’m well aware of that. But, as you know, with the right pressure on the right muscle, it

wouldn’t matter. And no one comes between me and my submissive.”

My heart swells at his words, and I can’t help but smile as he helps me up and agree to let him

take me home.

CHAPTER 14

L ila

THE RIDE TO MY APARTMENT STARTED OUT SILENT BECAUSE I WAS STILL FLOATING IN THE AFTERGLOW

of our scene, but as the miles passed it’s become almost uncomfortable. It’s not anything Master

Aiden has done or said. Honestly, he’s been trying his best to talk to me and keep the conversation

going, but I've been too distracted to pay attention.

What made me agree to let him come over to my place?

Part of me wants to suggest going back to a hotel again, but I don’t want him to think that I’m only

after his money. Though the truth is far uglier. My apartment is a wreck, and I don’t want him seeing

it. Problem is… it’s too late now. If I tell him I want to go to his place, that might feel forward. If I

ask for a hotel, I’m a gold digger.

Master Aiden keeps glancing over at me, his lips pursed tight. Maybe he’s worried that the scene

went too far. But if that’s the case, he’s dead wrong. Everything about tonight was amazing. Mostly the

fact that I was able to show him—and get him to admit—that I do know some things. Hearing him

acknowledge my education was right on par with the explosive orgasm.
