“You sayin’ I can use this?”
He nodded. “Yeah, girl. We can get you some shelves and sit to fix it up.”
I was walking around in a circle, almost thinking about what I could do with the space.
“Rosama, I could almost set up a lil’ studio in here.”
He nodded again. “And be close to your man.”
I walked ova to him, jumping into his arms and kissing all ova his face.
“You are so good to me.”
Rosama laughed. “I'm supposed to be. Come on, let’s get ya shit in.”
We got everything inside, then sat in his car and smoked.
“I gotta go handle some business,” he said, letting me know.
“Should I be worried?”
“No,” he said, passing me the blunt. “It’s a gun pickup; my shit been movin’ fast, and I'm g’tting low.”
I stared at Rosama for a minute while he scrolled on his phone. I loved his style. He was a street nigga that knew how to dress, and his diamonds always shined; whether it was around his neck, in his ear, around his wrist, or in his teeth, they danced day and night.
“Do you love what you do?” I asked him.
He looked off in the sky and let out a deep breath.
“Yeah, I have my days where I wish I didn’t have to run the streets or be in the mix of shit. But I love the fast money, I love my connections, and I love how niggas know I'm not the one to be played with.”
I tried not to smile, but it was hard not to. I loved that shit.
“Will you have time for me tonight?”
“Of course I will,” Rosama responded. “I want to be with you every night.”
I leaned ova and kissed him. “Make it happen, then.”
After we finished smoking, Rosama walked me ova to my car. We hugged and kissed before he opened the door for me.
“I will let you know when I'm on the way to you.”
I nodded with a smile and pulled off, calling my girls on our group FaceTime.
“What the fuck y’all doin'?” I asked.
“Nothing,” Raven said.
“Closing early,” Denise added.
“Just getting dressed,” Ari responded.
“Can we go get drinks?” I asked. “Rosama coming later tonight, and I have nothing else to do.”
“I'm down,” Raven said quick.
“Send me an address,” Ari said.
