“Ain’t shit to be needed, nigga,” Dre said with confidence. “Guns and work is movin’, the workers are not causing an issue, everything is smooth sailing right now, right before ya big birthday party.”

I agreed.

“And I got my girl back,” I said, hitting Dre in the chest.

That nigga started clapping.

“You pulled up on her the otha day, huh?”

I laughed. “I did, once you told me you saw her walking in there—”

“That was all it took, huh?” he asked, cutting me off.

“Yessir, I was ready to act a damn fool ova that girl.”

“That’s good and all, but what about your wife?”

I sucked my teeth. “Nigga, why you always gotta bring her up?!”

Dre laughed. “’Cause, nigga, you ova here tryna start a life with Ms. Nylah when you have a whole marriage to tie up.”

That nigga wasn’t wrong, but I didn’t want to hear that shit.

“I tried to talk to the bitch calmly… She’s crazy. That’s not a type of crazy I can talk to.”

“So Plan B has turned into Plan A now?”

I nodded. “It sure did. And I really don’t give a fuck.”

I grabbed the duffel bags and walked outta the room with Dre right behind me. We walked out to my car, and he kept watch while I loaded the bags in my trunk. When I was done, I closed the hood and dapped my nigga up.

“Thanks for keeping business movin', my nigga. I’ma lock back in after the Bday.”

“It ain’t shit, nigga. What you finna do?”

I walked ova to the driver’s door and opened it. “I’ma take my girl out. I'm still makin’ up.”

Dre laughed. “Say less, my guy.”

Dre walked back to the steps as I pulled off. I was about to head back to the crib and lay up with my shorty when I thought of a different plan.

I drove out to SoHo, went to the Dior store, picked Nylah up something, then stopped and got some flowers on my way home.

When I walked inside, she ran up to me and greeted me with a hug and a kiss.

“You good?” I asked her.

She nodded. “Yeah, just…glad you're back.”

I smiled as I handed her the flowers first. “These are for you.”

She took the flowers from me and smelled them.

“Thank you, boo.”

I nodded and pulled the other bags from behind my back. “Here, take this and go get dressed.”

She tilted her head with a smirk. “Rosama, what is this?”
