“Wet this mufucka up then.” I shook hard as he continued to slam inside of me. He was going so hard, it’s as if he was trying to prove something.
“Damn, I’m about to cum in this pussy.” I’m glad he meant it figuratively because his body jerked so hard, I know I would have been pregnant. We both fell out; neither of us knowing how to find the right words to say. After a while, he finally mustered up two words.
“You hungry?”

Opening my eyes, I smiled as flashbacks from the night before immediately flooded my mind. My body shivered, and I had to fight back the urge to go for another round. Rolling over, I noticed Landon was awake and staring at the ceiling. Whatever he was thinking about had him so zoned out, he didn’t even realize I had turned over. I laid there looking at him wondering if I should say something. Deciding to test the waters, I tapped him. He didn’t jump just turned his head to face me. That let me know I was wrong. Landon was fully aware of my presence. The blank look in his eyes was something different for him. His eyes were usually confident and playful. Not knowing how this was going to go, I braced myself before asking my question.
“Are you going to talk to him?”
“Nope.” He turned his head again and went back to looking at the ceiling.
“You don’t think you should?”
“Why the fuck would I need to talk to that nigga?” I knew he wasn’t trying to snap at me, and that he was projecting. So, I put my feelings to the side.
“Because the man in that parking lot yesterday is not the one you are scared of. You’re scared of the man you used to know.”
“This coming from someone who damn near boiled the skin off her ass last night because of a fire from her past.” I was trying to get him to see that he’s Breaker. A heavyweight champ that didn’t need to fear anyone. This nigga was deliberately trying to hit below the belt.
“Mind your fucking business. How about that,” I snapped.
“Exactly!”
“I didn’t say I’m not a hypocrite; I’m saying I’m right.”
“You have a lot of advice for somebody that can’t see their own shit.” I shrugged as I fought back tears.
“Did it occur to you that me being fucked up is the reason I can see your shit so well? I need to get home; I have stuff to do today.” I sat up to climb out of the bed, but he grabbed me to him.
“I’m sorry.”
“For what? Saying what you meant.”
“Naw, for hurting my baby’s feelings.” He kissed me on my lips and moved to my neck, causing my body to squirm. “You still mad at me?” My pussy was waking up and there was no way I was about to fuck him. I had too much on my mind.
“Boy, take me home,” I tried to say with confidence. We both climbed out of the bed and got dressed. Once we got down to the car, we climbed inside as Titan drove towards my house. I was grateful he had the music playing because it allowed us both to think about everything that happened. When we pulled up, Titan got out to open my door. I was about to step out when Landon stopped me.
“We good?” Leaning down, I kissed him.
“Yeah. I’ll talk to you later.” I wasn’t lying, we were good, but I also needed space. Not just because he hurt my feelings, but the weight of it all had me thinking about my own shit. Getting out the car, I walked inside of the house. Stone was sitting in the kitchen reading something on his phone.
“Hey. Where’s Mom?” Stone looked up and shrugged his shoulders.
“I don’t know. Somewhere spending some money.” As usual. Her ass was never here. I had no idea how their marriage survived, but I guess they were both getting what they wanted. It wasn’t my business, so I didn’t care. Knowing what was bothering him when it came to me, I tried to divert it by giving him the information I knew he wanted.
“Breaker has a team working with me. I can see what Darion was saying, but I’ve been working on it.” Stone’s face lit up.
“Do you think you will be ready soon?”
“Breaker thinks so, and said we can probably bring some reporters, Darion, and a few other bookers in to watch me train.”
“I have some in my pocket that can run what I need them to in the papers. That’s a damn good idea. It will get the questions flowing on why you haven’t fought yet.” You could see the many ideas running through his head.
“I’ll let you know when he’s trying to set it up.”
“It’s good to know you’re actually doing some work over there. If this doesn’t work, you’re done. There are no more chances, Ariyah.”
