“Teeth. Careful of the teeth.” His voice held a note of gentle amusement, and Rylan took him inside again, letting the shaft slide along his tongue, trying to relax and breathe through his nose. A few more false starts and Rylan finally got the hang of it, bobbing his head up and down, going deeper each time until he felt Scott’s fingers, wrapped around the base, touch his lips. His gag reflex chose that moment to kick in, and he choked.
He pulled off with a gasp, taking deep, calming breaths. “Sorry,” he panted. “I went too far, and I panicked. God, I’m terrible at this.”
Scott’s voice was raspy, gravelly, when he said, “No way. You got me super close just now. You doing that to me is so hot.” Rylan blinked up at him, and Scott stroked his thumb across Rylan’s swollen lips. “Do it again.”
Rylan didn’t make the mistake this time of trying to take too much, and Scott’s groans and the sight of his flexing abs as he thrust shallowly in and out of Rylan’s mouth ratcheted Rylan’s own excitement up to a fever pitch.
Scott gasped, “I’m coming,” and suddenly jet after jet of hot, salty fluid shot across Rylan’s tongue and into the back of his throat. He swallowed instinctively, but there was so much of it, and he could feel some dribbling from the corners of his mouth and running down his chin.
Scott was shuddering, his fingers tightening painfully in Rylan’s hair as the spasms died away, his legs visibly shaking. He dropped to his knees in front of Rylan, and Rylan wrapped his arms around Scott’s neck and buried his face against his shoulder.
“So good, Ry. Felt so good.”
They stayed like that for a long time, until Rylan started to shiver from reaction. “I can’t believe we did that,” he gasped. “I actually gave you a blow job.”
Scott kissed him. “Best one I ever had.”
“Yeah, right.” Rylan gave a weak chuckle. “Choking and gagging all over you, trying to swallow, all without managing to bite your dick off.”
Scott kissed his temple. “Well, we’ll have to do a lot of practicin’, right? Because that was hotter than fuck and I want more.”
Rylan burrowed deeper into Scott’s shoulder. “But what are―what the hell are we doing, Scott?” he moaned. “This is wrong on so many levels.”
He felt Scott push him back a little so he could look at him. “No. Fuck what anyone else thinks. If this is what we want to do, and it makes us happy, well―screw ’em, Rylan. We’re not hurting anyone.”
“What about Lisa?” Rylan’s voice was quiet, and Scott couldn’t hold his gaze, dropping his eyes to the floor. “You’re cheating on your girlfriend with your own stepbrother.”
Scott snorted with subdued laughter. “Yeah, that sounds like a cheesy porn plot,” he admitted, sighing.
Rylan nodded. “I don’t want anyone to get hurt. Especially Lisa, since she has no idea about any of this.”
Scott smiled, his fingers almost tender as he stroked Rylan’s cheek. “Sweet Ry. If you only knew she could give a flyin’ fuck about either one of us. It’d be her pride hurt more than anythin’ else, trust me. The only person Lisa loves is Lisa.”
He stood and pulled Rylan to his feet. “Go take a shower, and I’ll order us a pizza. We can watch a movie or somethin’ till they get home.”
Half an hour later, they were ensconced side by side on the saggy old couch, the opening credits for Top Gun scrolling by. Rylan wagged his feet, crossed at the ankle and propped up on the battered coffee table, in time with Kenny Loggins belting out “Danger Zone.”
Rylan had been amused when, perusing Scott’s meager DVD collection, he’d mentioned he’d never seen it, and Scott had gasped, “What? It’s a classic!”
Rylan had never been interested in a movie that old and full of what he assumed were arrogant, swaggering, overly macho characters. He wasn’t entirely wrong about that part of it, but he found himself enjoying the themes of loyalty and loss and moving on that also permeated the story.
“Have you ever thought about joining the Navy?” he asked when they paused the movie to deal with their pizza arriving. “Following in your dad’s footsteps? You’d get out of here and get to travel the world, be just like Maverick. I could totally see you doing that.”
Scott swallowed his bite of pizza and wiped his lips on a napkin before answering, “Me, a fighter pilot?” His voice was scornful. “I’m not smart enough for that.”
“Would you stop putting yourself down?” Rylan exclaimed. “Why not you?”
Scott shrugged, not saying anything, and Rylan went on, “You’ve gotten used to thinking of yourself as nothing more than a pretty face, and that’s not true. There’s so much more to you than that, so much more.”
He moved to pick up his plate, but put it down and sat back again when Scott asked, “Like what?”
“Well.” Rylan ticked his points off on his fingers as he went. “You’re brave, like when you stood up to the bullies at school for me. You’re resourceful, like when you thought about rescuing G’s clothes from the trash. You think on your feet, like when you played G’s mom on the fly.” They both chuckled at the memory.
He scooted a little closer to Scott, so that his knee touched Scott’s thigh. “You’re resilient, because you’ve been hurt over and over again by the one who should love you the most, who should protect you, and you haven’t let her break you.” After a brief pause, he rested his hand on Scott’s forearm. “And you’re loyal, because you still love her and you’re still here.”
Scott blinked rapidly, and Rylan gave his arm a gentle squeeze. “And yes, you’re beautiful and sexy and hot, but those things are just the icing on the cake. A delicious icing on top of everything else you are, and every single one of those qualities would make a fucking awesome fighter pilot. In my opinion.”
Scott wrapped his arm around Rylan’s shoulders, reaching out to lift his chin to kiss him when headlights suddenly swept across the room, heralding the rest of the family returning home.
