“Well.” Scott put his arm along the back of the futon like before. “I hate the thought of you going out on a date with a guy someday, and you won’t even know how to kiss him.” Rylan froze when Scott slid his hand onto the back of Rylan’s neck and gave a gentle tug. “Come here.”
Rylan didn’t resist as Scott pulled him close, leaning down to feather his mouth over his in a brief caress. Scott’s lips were slightly parted, but Rylan’s were closed, and Scott brought a thumb up and rubbed it over Rylan’s lower lip.
“Open up a little.” Scott kissed him again gently, this time letting his mouth linger on Rylan’s. “Open, Rylan.” As Rylan sat there, overwhelmed by all the sensation and hardly able to believe this was happening, Scott nipped his lower lip sharply.
When Rylan gasped against the tiny sting, Scott’s tongue swept inside, rubbing against his and sliding along the roof of his mouth. He pulled back slowly, chuckling at the look that must be on Rylan’s face.
“See? That’s how you kiss someone.” Scott’s voice held a husky rasp. “Open mouths and lots of tongue.”
Rylan’s lips were tingling, and they felt unbearably sensitive. He bit down on the lower one to soothe it, and Scott growled a little, moving in to kiss Rylan again, this time his mouth firm, demanding, his tongue going deep.
His senses completely overtaken, Rylan brought one hand up and clutched Scott’s shoulder, feeling the firm muscles shifting under his warm skin. Wanting more, he skimmed his palm daringly down Scott’s chest, brushing over his nipple and feeling it draw up to a sharp point.
Scott groaned, his head tilting as he slanted his mouth even harder across Rylan’s, his hand still cupping Rylan’s neck. Their lips met and parted over and over, their tongues dancing together, their breathing rough.
Finally Scott wrenched himself away and leaned back against the futon, scrubbing his hands over his face. “Holy shit.”
Rylan sat there, his lips swollen, his cheeks abraded from Scott’s stubble, his body aching for release. He wanted to push Scott down into his bed and climb in after him. He wanted to rub himself all over that beautiful body, kiss him some more, and make them both come.
Rylan could see how Scott’s dick pushed against the front of his underwear, and the thought that he, Rylan, had aroused him like that made his balls draw up tight. He breathed in deeply through his nose and out his mouth, trying to get his body back under control.
At last Scott reached out to run his fingers through Rylan’s purple hair. “Now you know what to do, when the time comes,” he said with a smile. “And you’re fuckin’ adorable, you know that?” He leaned down and kissed the tip of Rylan’s nose, starting to rise to his feet.
Rylan shot his hand out and grasped Scott’s bicep to stop him. “Why―why did you do that?” he asked, hearing how his voice throbbed with arousal. “Why did you kiss me?”
Scott winked at him and gently pulled his arm free. “’Cause you know me; I’ll try anything once.” He sauntered over to his bed and climbed under his quilt with a weary sigh before reaching up to switch his bedside lamp off.
Rylan put his notebook down on the floor and did the same with his own lamp. He lay there breathless, wondering if he’d be treated to the sound of Scott pleasuring himself again as he relieved the arousal that had been so evident to Rylan’s hungry eyes.
Instead, Scott’s breathing became deep and rhythmic almost immediately. Rylan’s body still raged, and he staggered up and out of bed, down the hall to the tiny bathroom, where he locked the door and jerked himself off into the toilet.

Scott woke by degrees, stretching his arms out toward the ceiling and arching his back, groaning as the vertebrae gave satisfying little pops. A peep at his clock showed just after six a.m. Rylan still slept, huddled on his futon.
Shit. Scott rubbed his hand over his mouth as he remembered kissing him. Scott hadn’t intended to kiss him. But when he’d gone out for his shower, he’d seen Heather passed out on the couch, covered with a blanket, a pillow tucked under her head.
It hit him hard. Rylan had done that, had taken care of her, someone he couldn’t stand. And Scott knew why: because his dad, someone Rylan loved, had asked him to. To Scott, Bob was a blind idiot, a man so desperate for attention that he was confusing dick love with heart love. Even Scott understood the difference between the two. He’d had it modeled for him by Heather over and over with the losers she dragged home, and he himself was practicing a different version of it with Lisa. He could get it up for her because he was young, horny, and had an agenda, but there were no feelings involved.
But Rylan, though. Rylan was a good person, a caring person, his innocent infatuation with Scott genuine and so very flattering. When Rylan had whistled at him and immediately flushed pink in embarrassment, pure affection had swept over Scott like a tidal wave. He’d suddenly wanted to bask a little more in that sweetness, had wanted to taste it, savor it, take it for himself.
And oh, had he tasted it. His lips tingled remembering Rylan’s eager mouth, his hitching breaths, the rough, wanting touches. Scott had been surprised at the searing arousal that blasted through him, the all-consuming need he had to sweep Rylan up in his arms and throw him down on the bed and lose himself in him.
Damn.
Deep down, though, Scott realized that playing with Rylan’s emotions like that was shitty to the extreme, and in this Scott couldn’t let himself be selfish, not anymore. Rylan didn’t deserve to be hurt by him, ever, and Scott would do his utmost to make sure that never happened.
With that in mind, when he rose from the bed and noticed Rylan blinking sleepily at him from across the room, Scott kept his tone breezy, no hint in his voice that the night before was even on his radar.
“Hey, bro,” he chirped. “Gonna spend the weekend with Lisa, if you’ll let Heather know. Not that she cares.” He shrugged. “But Lisa’s ’rents are down in Orlando for the weekend, so we’re gonna take full advantage of it, man.”
Rylan nodded, his eyes steady. “Okay, Scott. Have fun.”
“Oh, I will.” Scott waggled his eyebrows. “Got two words for you: naked Jacuzzi.” He quickly got dressed and threw some things in a duffle before grabbing up his backpack.
“Later, Ry.”
As he ran out of the trailer and toward the road, his cheeks burned. He had the feeling his over-the-top casualness hadn’t fooled Rylan in the least.
