I gave her what she wanted. All of me. When my thighs burned, I carried her over to the leather sofa and sat down, keeping my cock lodged inside her, not wanting to lose the glorious sensation of her impaled on me. She took over from there, fucking me how she needed, lifting and lowering, bringing us both closer to the edge.
But it wasn’t enough. I could see the frustration etched in the lines of her mouth.
Taking over once more, I pulled her off me, shifting her over as I got to my feet. “Grab onto the armrest.”
Kylie got on her knees, turning so she could place her hands on the armrest. When she was in position, I planted one knee on the cushion behind her, my other foot flat on the floor for leverage, then lined up once more and drove myself home.
“Travis.”
Oh, yeah. I knew exactly what she was feeling. It was pure insanity draped in a shroud of complete and utter bliss.
Kylie moaned. “Fuck me hard, Travis. I need you … to … fuck … me.”
I slammed my hips forward repeatedly. Over and over, my grip on her hips tightened as I held her still so I could drive in deep.
“Yes!”
I did it again.
Kylie cried out, that single sound unleashing the beast in me. I began fucking her in earnest, discarding the fear of causing her pain, allowing her to guide me with her pleas and groans.
“Yes … God, yes … Travis … It feels … so good.”
I growled, unable to speak as the tension in my body ratcheted up to dangerous levels. I was going to come but not before she did. I hoped.
My hips pistoned, my cock ramming in deep as Kylie pushed back, meeting me thrust for thrust.
“Travis … yes. Yes, yes! I’m comin’!”
Her pussy locked down on my dick, causing me to clamp my molars together as I drove into her one last time, the release consuming my entire body. I shook and shivered as I came, her name tumbling from my lips.
Chapter Fifty-Two

Kylie
Several days after that exquisite incident in Travis’s office, I found myself home alone—which had become the norm—seated at the desk in his office. I wasn’t dusting pictures this time, though.
Nope. That task had been checked off yesterday.
Today was all about looking into my options for going back to work. I wasn’t planning to push the issue, but I did want to get things lined up so I could outline what needed to be done to make it happen. Spending a majority of my time alone while everyone else was busy doing productive things wasn’t all that appealing. With the kids in school or daycare, and Travis and Gage at the resort, I had plenty of time to do something with myself.
It would be a solo endeavor, so I wanted to keep it small. At one point in time, Jessie had worked with me, helping me with the office stuff. But my sister worked at Kennedy’s veterinarian office and had for years. According to the brief catch-up conversations I’d had with her in recent weeks, she was very happy.
And I was happy for her.
Plus, I liked the idea of doing this on my own. That was how I originally started out. Restoring old homes was a passion, and it helped that I was good at it. I loved the history behind an old house, loved bringing it back to life. I missed the smell of wood and the sound of the saw as it buzzed. Yeah. I needed to do something with myself. This seemed like the logical pursuit.
With my notepad holding only a few lines of notes, I decided sitting there wasn’t the best use of my time. I needed to know what I had to work with, so I rummaged through the drawer in the kitchen, searching for the key to the garage. When I found it, I went out through the laundry room door, along the stone path to the single-car garage that was used as storage. I unlocked the side door and stood at the threshold, fumbling for the door opener on the wall. When I found it, I tapped the wide button and waited. As the single door rumbled upward, I grabbed a stray chair and used it to prop open the side door so that none of the exits were blocked. Just the thought of being in that enclosed space was enough to cause the hair on my nape to stand on end. However, I was going to do this. I had to.
A moment later, the space was flooded with sunlight, highlighting all the crap that was being stored in there.
Not that it was really crap. There were boxes of decorations—fall, Christmas, Halloween, Easter—plus odds and ends that had been stored for safekeeping—an old rolltop desk, the battery-operated Barbie car that Kate and Avery had adored when they were little. Along the far wall were five small bikes and two larger ones. I stared at them for a moment, wondering when Travis and Gage had taken up bike riding. I’d never known them to do it before.
With a sigh, I ignored just another reminder of all the things I’d missed. Yes, they had moved on. I saw that in so many things, so it wasn’t a newsflash.
But I wasn’t here to dissect my feelings about what had happened while I’d been chained up in that shit hole; I was looking for my stuff.
