“Jesus,” he whispered, his voice barely audible over the rapid thump of my heart.

Steam began to billow from the shower, obscuring our reflections as the mirror began to fog. I was aware of every move, every touch, every breath. Right up until Gage unhooked my bra and let it fall to the floor. Cool air brushed against my sensitive nipples, causing me to gasp. This felt like our first time together, rife with anticipation and nerves.

“Don’t stop,” I pleaded when Gage’s hands paused. “We need this.”

My leggings were the next to go, followed by my panties. And then I was naked, my husbands looking at me as though I were dessert. For the first time in what seemed like a lifetime, I felt like myself. Whole. Complete in a way I didn’t think I would ever be again.

Travis stepped forward, his hands caressing alongside Gage’s. It felt good, freeing, to have their heated gazes on me, but nothing compared to their touch.

This.

This was what I’d dreamed about for so long.

This was what healing felt like.

Chapter Fifty

Travis

Goddamn, she was beautiful.

So fucking beautiful, it made my chest ache.

I had missed her so much for so long, this felt surreal. At the same time, I felt as though I needed to sear this into my memory so I could revisit when I needed a reminder of all the things I loved. Watching the two of them … it provided me with intense pleasure in a way most people would never understand.

Once Gage had rid Kylie of her remaining clothes, he moved to stand behind her again. I took the initiative to strip him of his clothing while his hands moved over her, caressing all that beautiful alabaster skin. Once they were beneath the spray of warm water, I didn’t waste time, shedding my clothes with haste.

And then there we were, the three of us again. It was a moment that would forever be etched in my brain, one of those memories you could feel.

I stepped up to Kylie, cupping her face. I memorized every nuance of her expression as I leaned in, but the moment she lifted up to meet me, my brain went on the fritz. Sensation replaced thought, pleasure replaced reflection, and I was lost to her.

So fucking lost.

The gentle sweep of her tongue against mine.

The smooth contours of her neck, her shoulders.

She was so fucking soft.

“Kylie,” I whispered, emotion bubbling in my chest, threatening to explode out of me.

“I’m here,” she said softly, her fingertips gliding along my jaw as she peered back at me.

Yes. Yes, she was. My wife was alive. She was home with us, safe.

I looked up, meeting Gage’s eyes, needing confirmation that this wasn’t a dream, that I wasn’t going to wake up any minute now.

There was a softness in his gaze. It was the look that spoke of understanding and love. He knew exactly what I was feeling, what I’d been feeling for the past two months since Kylie came home to us. Every second felt precious, yet each time I blinked, I was terrified I would find it had all been a mirage, an optical illusion brought on by the grief that had never disappeared.

Kylie shifted back, turning so that she could see us both. Her hands glided over my arm as I watched her do the same to Gage.

For a brief moment, time stood still as the three of us stared at one another. It was the first time since her return that we’d all been in the moment together. The past couple of months had been a test of patience and strength. Rather than attempt to get closer, I’d been holding back, giving Kylie the space she needed to acclimate once again.

But here. Now.

“God, I’ve fuckin’ missed you,” I whispered before reaching for her again.

Pulling her against me, I crushed my mouth to hers, unable to control the need, the desire. It was like high-octane jet fuel was pumping through my veins, amplifying everything. The passion that had been on the back burner was now the driving force.
