Henry faced her.

“If I breached the facility without disabling that station, Wade and every other prisoner died before I reached the first cell.”

Sarah’s jaw tightened.

She hated the answer.

Rook could see she believed it.

“Primary objective,” Rook said. “Termination control.”

Henry nodded.

“Second objective is communications. If Theta sends a distress signal, Warden will activate remote failsafes.”

“Can Fathom block it?”

Fathom studied the plans.

“With Shark’s help, yes.”

Shark lifted his good hand.

“I’m useful again.”

“You were always useful,” Maverick said.

“Tell Rook.”

“I heard him,” Rook replied.

Henry enlarged the detention wing.

“Wade is here.”

Four cells appeared.

“One survivor per cell?”

“That was the original design.”

“What about the rest of the facility?”

Henry hesitated.

Rook noticed.

“What aren’t you telling us?”

Henry opened another file.

A list of prisoner designations appeared.

Not four.

Dozens.

The warehouse went still.
