“Copy.”
Rook looked at Sniper and Falcon.
“The bridge is ours.”
They moved.
Rook stopped outside the bridge.
The silence on the other side felt wrong.
Still.
Patient.
Waiting.
Falcon met his eyes.
“They know we’re here.”
Rook removed a flashbang from his vest.
“Then let’s not disappoint them.”
Sniper moved to the opposite side of the door.
Rook held up three fingers.
Two.
One.
Falcon forced the door.
Rook threw the flashbang.
The explosion rattled the corridor.
White light filled the bridge.
Shadow Division entered behind it.
Gunfire erupted.
Rounds shattered windows.
Glass sprayed across the controls.
Mercenaries fired from behind navigation consoles.
Sniper dropped the first.
Falcon climbed onto a damaged station, gained elevation, and fired twice.
Two more men fell.
A mercenary lunged toward the ship’s emergency controls.
