We were supposed to arrive at our destination this evening, but I decided we’d rent a room for one more night.

First, I needed a moment to appreciate that Cooper was safe.

Second, I needed to give him the handling he’d been asking for.

Third, I needed to fuck him.

He was quiet at the front desk, drumming the counter nervously as we waited for our key. His bravado had disappeared on the way, replaced by a deliciously needy scent that was tangled with arousal.

Inside the room, I made a show of locking the door. Then I leaned back and crossed my arms, just watching him, letting myself admire my boyfriend whose bratty ass I was going to spank until he cried.

Flustered, he lifted his chin and looked around the room with a forced nonchalance. “Nice place,” he said. “Gives Norman Bates vibes.”

I didn’t answer.

He smirked, excitement and trepidation warring on his face. “What? You’re just going to stare at me?”

I held his gaze until he was done smirking.

“Don’t worry, I’m going to do more than that. Strip.”

He drew a sharp breath, hesitating for a second. I raised my brow. “It wasn’t a suggestion.”

He rolled his eyes.

“Yes, Alpha, sir,” he muttered, fumbling with the button of his denim shorts.

I reached him in two strides, pulling him against me. “What was that?”

He blinked.

“No-nothing.” As his clothes hit the carpet, his scent intensified—a wave of slick fragrance that made focusing difficult. His skin was a deep, feverish pink. He trembled under my scrutiny.

“Bend over that desk,” I commanded.

“Desk?” He bit his lip nervously. “I thought—”

“You thought what?”

I knew exactly what he’d thought. But this time, there’d be no friction, nothing to rub himself against. He wouldn’t have the luxury of my lap. This was pure discipline.

“Hands on the desk the whole time.”

“Jon—”

I shook my head.

“Arch your back.”

He went still for a second, but then dropped his spine, creating a deep curve that offered him up to me perfectly.

“You’re going to count every hit out loud.”

He let out a small whimper.

“O-okay.” Eyes wide, he looked at me. “Is it going to hurt?”

“Yes.”
