“Ahhh!”

He crashed to the floor, clutching his leg while his pistol skidded across the marble. When he tried to reach for it, she pistol-whipped him across the head. As she towered over him, his eyes widened in disbelief.

“Don’t move unless you wanna lose the other one,” Dice warned.

Meanwhile, Kash disappeared upstairs. Within seconds, muffled screams and boots pounding across the second floor echoed overhead. She swept through every office with military precision, disarming the second security guard before forcing every employee onto the floor.

“Second floor secure,” she reported calmly through the comm.

“We’re clear,” I said into my earpiece.

“Vault door’s unlocked,” the voice replied as fingers flew across a laptop from the surveillance van parked several blocks away. “You’ve got four minutes before the silent alarm finishes cycling through the backup system. Grab the cash and move.”

“You heard Tech,” I smirked. “Let’s get paid.”

While held the lobby down, Kash, Dice, and I rushed toward the vault. It had been relocated to the basement. As we made our way downstairs, two armed guards came charging up the steps. I fired twice, then Dice finished them off before they could get another shot off. Their bodies hit the concrete stairs with heavy thuds. We stepped over them and continued toward the vault.

“I’m at the vault,” I said, dropping to one knee in front of the keypad.

“I’ve got eyes on you,” the voice replied through my earpiece. “I’m inside the bank’s network, but that vault is still yours.”

A grin spread across my face beneath the silicone mask. “Wouldn’t have it any other way.”

I pulled a small black device from my backpack and plugged it directly into the vault’s security panel. The screen immediately lit up with lines of encrypted code as my fingers flew across the keypad.

“C’mon, baby...” I muttered.

“You’re fighting a triple-encrypted firewall. Bypass the first layer and I’ll kill the silent alarm from my end.”

“I know.”

The progress bar slowly climbed…………….ACCESS DENIED.

“Shit.”

I quickly rewrote the exploit and launched another attack.

ACCESS GRANTED.

“There she is,” the voice chuckled.

The heavy vault door released with a loud metallic click before slowly swinging open.

A smile crept across my face.

“Told you she’d open.”

“Less celebrating, more stealing. You’ve got four minutes before the backup system realizes somebody just broke into its vault.”

“You heard him,” I said, motioning to Dice and Kash. “Let’s clean these people out.”

“Hurry up so we can get out of this bitch,” Dice said.

“Let’s go. In and out,” came the response through my earpiece.

Just like he said, within five minutes the bank alarm blared in the background as Dice and I stuffed money into large duffel bags inside the vault. We grabbed nothing but the big bills. We weren’t playing any damn games.

Once we were done, we rushed back upstairs. Donnie gave us the signal to move while keeping his gun trained on all the hostages sitting on the floor. Every last one of them looked terrified.
